in The 18 Most Obvious (and some not so obvisous) SolidWorks Tips of All Time on SolidSmack
that is the funniest list I have ever read. you need to do a presentation/stand up comedy at SWW next year. it would be the most attended breakout, guarenteed!

have you seen my interview with matthew? somehow I think the monotone voice would kill (quite literally) the fun. Who know's though, that would be a riot.

Thanks for the update Jeff.
Do you know what the dll file is that Windows x64 is having problems with? I am running Vista x64 and I am having a problem with ntdll.dll crashing Office 2007 all the time. Let me know if you know any other details.
Thanks

in The “S” Key Experiment Part 1 on Ricky Jordan's Blog
Awesome post Ricky! I absolutely love the "S" key and use it for 98% of my commands. I do still have the Command Manager on for a back up but I think that will be coming off and I am going to try this experiment with you. Thanks for the post!
P.S. The video looked great!

in Set it UP! Killer SolidWorks Interface, Better Workflow on SolidSmack
Awesome post Josh!
I actually did a presentation on how to create a smoother work flow at the West Michigan SolidWorks User Group meeting in March. I am always looking for ways to clean up the interface and stay in the middle of the screen by the model as much as possible.
Thanks for doing this post, its great!!!

Awesome isn't it! Your initial reactions are very similar to what mine were. That is why I convinced the management at our company that it was and is a product that we definitely need and they listened!

This is a great tool Ricky! I have been using this tool for almost as long as I have been writing my blog. It is awesome that it is used off line. I have noticed that at times that it doesn't upload pictures correctly all the time but for the most part it is a great tool to use.

Josh,
If you watch Gabi's videos from her user group meeting last week Vic Leventhal also mentioned this tidbit of information. Amazing how it all ties back to the vast world of SolidWorks. Keep up the great work!

in Interesting article on GabiJack.com
Gabi, great article. One thing that everyone may overlook is your workflow within the software. Everytime time you are running your mice to one side of the screen then to the middle then to the other side is eating up precious time. When you are in a feature, right click to accept features, set up your shortcut bar so that it benefits you the most. Just some ideas, I am doing a presentation at our local user group on this so it has been on my mind as of lately. Keep up the great work and good luck with getting ready for the test.
