in Finance Tips For Small Businesses & Entrepreneurs on Jim Kukral
Yes, I do have a “Money Meeting” with myself every week, just 15-20 minutes, where I go over a marketing & sales report for my business (tracking stats re website, eZine, blogs, video, inquiries, sales, affiliates), and check to make sure nothing wacky is going on w/ my bank & merchant accounts.

in My Liberation Story: Lisa Fyfe on Finance Your Freedom
Sometimes a well-meaning friend might express sorrow for what we’ve experienced these past few years. It always takes me aback, because I don’t think of us as having an unhappy or particularly difficult life. Frankly, I consider us lucky, because we’ve been given a second chance. It’s amazing how empowering it has been to simply let go of the collective American dream and focus on what it is that will make us really happy. And I know that one day soon, we’ll look at each other and know that all this hard work has been worth it.

in Why We Shouldn’t Tax Music on How To Split An Atom
So what can we Yanks down here in the USA do to awaken Canada to the folly of their ways? That government has gone tax hungry and ours will follow if it works.
Curious note here in Tucson. I saw advertisements today for digital video recording service from my cable TV provider (”you can record a whole season of shows”). Then the news came on and announced that 14 students at the University of Arizona were being sued for downloading music. What a world.

in Free Tax Sites: A Lesson for Bloggers about Advertising Balance on Pajama Professional
This is one reason I do mine the old fashioned way ... in Excel! :) My thoughts are that if a site is that aggressive about monetization, they're a lot more likely than, say, the Pajama Professional, to take my personal info and sell it to the highest bidder. When you're doing your taxes ... a lot of personal info is involved. I can obviously trust you with my email address, but can I trust this free tax service with my social security number?? Without knowing for sure, it seems safer to err on the side of caution. Obviously, they make nothing in that case ... so it's an example not to follow. Forrest's last blog post.
