Hey J.C. Thanks for dropping by and leaving the comment! It's too bad you didn't enjoy the film more, but yeah, Dent really was the White Knight for Gotham, the flip side to the Batman. Characters like those do not pop up enough.

I had always assumes Young was something of a Luddite given his stance on CDs, so it is interesting to see him embrace this technology and really use it for something interesting. Good on him.

I think it is a much better idea to focus and do a great job on your key projects than spread yourself so thin that you end up doing a rush/half assed job on everything! I look forward to seeing some of the projects you have in the pipeline!

What's amazing about this is that it's easier than ever before to know your audience. Between blogs, Facebook, MySpace and everything else out there under the sun, there is no excuse for this sort of blind cold calling anymore. Especially when you are talking about someone as open and transparent as The Brogan. It's not like he hides himself, or is difficult to get to know!

I really have to thnk you, in reading your blog for the past little while, it has really made me see the value of blogging to start conversations and build community, instead of simple as a platform for my pithy thoughts. I can see noticible differences in the way my blog is working, and in my success as a blogger. That was the game changer for me. So thanks!

Facebook is a playground. Twitter is a conversation. That is how it break down for me. I don't really do any serious communicating on Facebook, but it can be a fun place sometimes (once you have cleared out all the app requests).

In William Gibson's "Pattern Recognition" there was a character who did this for a living. That came out in 2004, adn as I read it I thought to myself that it wouldn't be too long before that started happening. As with many things, Gibson was right.

And no, I don't work for him.

This is an excellent lesson for all of us; it doesn't really matter about the technology you have behind you, it's the people you have around you that really matter. You have worked hard to build that community, and when you needed them, they were here to help with your technical problem.

It looks like Barack is winning ALL the polls these days. I'm not really sure of his policies on open source software, but he has such a clear vision on so many other issues that I can only imagine he would have good ideas here as well.

But of course, I'm Canadian, so my opinion doen't really matter.

Even without the second half of that film, it raises interesting points. Although it veers off into tin foil hat territory, the concerns with the privacy policy and the TOS are enough to make me rethink what I post to facebook.

It seems like everyone is having Internet issues this week. Something must be blocking the pipes.

I think the idea is great, and I am amazed that the concept was so reviled by some. I just thought to myself "hey, cool I can find others who are into X or are interested in Y". And then I did.

And this is coming from the guy who had a problem with the Twitter Gates!
