Really disappointing stuff. Stale, pre-ground beans have no business in an espresso machine. (The sheer environmental waste of these pods aside.)

One step forward in convenience, but two steps back in quality.

EricFriedman I think this is a different concept - and one that the market will judge based on the quality of the product. I would be curious to see how a serious coffee drinking like you rates this one - if you are open to it.

Congratulations for publishing the first article I`ve seen in the popular media that legitimately looked beyond the half-assed, landfill-bound home espresso machines with the biggest consumer marketing budgets. You`ve honestly listed a few gems across the range here.
