I live in Madison, and the newspapers here reported that Butch was recruited with the understanding that he might redshirt because he needed time to develop. That does't contradict what you said, though. The decision may have been a close one that was finally tipped by family issues.

Second most lackluster for me. I once saw a sloth at a zoo that moved slower on defense. He did show more emotion, though.

The "KS" on shoes has GOT to go, and should never have been allowed in the first place. It makes the players look like spoiled children who are pouting because they didn't get their way. And it shows Dakich doesn't have control of the team when he allows it. Immature by the players, and a HUGE mistake on DD's part. Just my opinion.

Knas, I agree we shouldn't name-call. At the same time, I believe the players are sulking, and will continue to sulk. As if not trying hard, and even losing, will somehow teach everyone a lesson. That may be a bit of a reach, but I think that's part of it. I don't know what the solution is.

I don't understand the venom directed toward Devin. It makes a monority of IU fans look like foolish vindictive hicks. Sorry, gang, but it does.

IU caused its own problems. We did this to ourselves, and now we have to pay the price for mind-boggingly incompetent administrators. We should direct our anger there, where it belongs, instead of railing against a high school kid.

I hope Devin comes to IU and has a terrific career. He would be great for IU, and IU would be great for him. If he chooses to go elsewhere, I still hope he has a great career. Just not against us.

It is so tempting to just not watch IU for the next 5 years. Maybe tune back in then and see if anything positive is happening. I won't, of course, but even for the most supportive fans this has been a rough era in IU baskeball. Very hard to watch.

Agree, and I add this: if IU thinks it's better than this, all the team has to do is go win 2 games. Just 2. Then it will take over North Carolina's # 1 seed.

Just 2 games, IU players. Two games to being the # 1 seed in the NCAA. It's that close if you want it.

Please, Gonso Gang, IU must get it right this time. We don't get any more do-overs. No more "oops, our bad." You goof this up, and you bury IU basketball for a generation.

Get the right guy. Ideally, it will be someone who really wants to be our coach, not someone who has to be talked into it.

Hiring this coach is the difference between the first shot of a game, and the last shot with time running out and the team down 1. Davis and Sampson were the horrible shots that clanked off the rim. Now you've got to nail it.

I agree has the whole situation with the Fosters been enough to show this community that Flores has no backbone? Only white geeky nerd diehards this time around. Didn't match the fever pitch of Halo 2, and not all have upgraded to 360, plus general boredom with the endless Quakehead-Halo death-matches, Halo 2 has been out enough for people to get really sick of it, whereas it seemed half the audience for Halo 2 was minted brand new. It will still sell zillions, but third time not a charm I'd say, lost the luster. So when's that vaporware movie coming out? ;)

Guess it wouldn't be Microsoft without some major screw-up of sorts, heard from 5 people already with the unplayable limited-edition scratched disks. And in true Microsoft fashion, they quickly responded with a replacement disk program, being that they are so used to replacing the actual 360 units. ;)
