NBA front-office sources confirmed to ESPN.com that Artest will be dealt to the Rockets in exchange for Houston's first-round draft pick in 2009, ex-King Bobby Jackson (who arrives with a $6.1 million expiring contract) and the draft rights to Donte Greene. The Kings will also receive more than $1 million in cash, according to The Houston Chronicle, but the deal can't be announced before Aug. 14 because Greene is not eligible to be traded before then.

GO ROCKETS! I can barely believe it. They just keep on winning and playing with team effort. I checked the box score and everyone got minutes yesterday! Its so amazing and I hope that they can just bring that belief into the NO game!!
The team just brings so much energy to every game. Its amazing because this was a back to back game as well (am I right?). It has to do with teammates just trusting in each other and believing that if they give it their best effort, the player subbing for him will also give it his best and thats what keeps the team going. 110% effort all game long!

btw, what type of trade would you propose for the rockets?
I wouldn't mind the Rockets getting Sam Cassell for either Mike James or a first-round draft pick. However, I think Sam wants to go to Boston or another team that's high up in the standings. I would hope he wouldn't mind getting nostalgic and go back to the team where he started his career. And Houston isn't chopped liver, either. They could make a nice run with him. -- John

Gotta give more love to Chuck Hayes though, he was defending everybody last night.
Brian, I think Hayes is a good defender, but I think he gambles too much. I see that slowing down my DVR and seeing how much room he gives his own man to help out in defending other players. That can make you look like a stud at times defending other players, but look foolish when you leave a guy like Shawn Marion wide open for threes. It's just like a cornerback in football who can look good making the spectacular play, but look bad when burned badly for a touchdown. I think the coaches need to tell him better who he gambles on. Right now it looks like he's free to freelance on defense. -- John
