Actually, I've always done it this way - relying on Namecheap for DNS and all and it worked flawlessly.

That way, I can just play around with my server when I feel the urge and not wonder if emails get bounced back.

Why? Because for a student it's hard to afford such devices, yet we're the group that can utilize them the most.

What I'd like to see are more hosted wiki applications.

Sure, theres MoinMoin and Wikimedia and others, but all of them miss the simplicity that Jot and others offer.

Jot, then again, has a version you can install on your own site but its a tad too expensive for the casual user.

I've only been following this for a few hours now, but it nearly made me throw up my breakfast.

Sure, the higher your presence on the web, the higher the probability that you'll attract the scum that's also participating on the 'net, but this is just disgusting.

Being disruptive is one thing, it's what many bloggers are all about, but this isn't disruptive anymore. Woman or not, this is the most unprofessional and antisocial way of "taking part in a discussion".

I hope that karma gets back to those who tried to shut up an important voice of today's tech world.

the clip was nice to watch, until you started out with the Gabe&Gabe tech support session, I just lost it right then.

It is so YOU (both of you) to go to an event like Lowlands and

1.) do tech support
2.) talk about sexual preferences of young girls
and
3.) end it all with a great picture collection and song.

Wow, I am very sorry to hear about this and to say "this blows" is a gross understatement, but, I also know at the same time, that you will master this test.

I know that I speak for many of us when I say that we are looking forward to hearing about what you are going to do next, so keep us posted.
