Wow, I am very sorry to hear about this and to say "this blows" is a gross understatement, but, I also know at the same time, that you will master this test.
I know that I speak for many of us when I say that we are looking forward to hearing about what you are going to do next, so keep us posted.
And yes, ice cream cone :)

in Lowlands Festival 2008 Part 2 on GabeMac Work Rest and PLay
the clip was nice to watch, until you started out with the Gabe&Gabe tech support session, I just lost it right then.
It is so YOU (both of you) to go to an event like Lowlands and
1.) do tech support
2.) talk about sexual preferences of young girls
and
3.) end it all with a great picture collection and song.
good job Sirs.

I'd come, but I still haven't managed to procure a camera. Nonetheless, I have a feeling that this will be one kick-ass workshop and I envy those that will be there :)

Love the clip, that is probably the only thing a Compaq Laptop is good for anyway.

in Setup for easy server migrations and reliability on Dan Cameron
Actually, I've always done it this way - relying on Namecheap for DNS and all and it worked flawlessly.
That way, I can just play around with my server when I feel the urge and not wonder if emails get bounced back.

in Cron -> Too Much Email — Elliott C. Back on Elliott Back's Blog
I actually have my scripts set up so that I only get mail if there's a problem. No problem means no email. However, most scripts are set to send a weekly (sometimes monthly) mail so that I know that the script is still active
Comments? I track them via RSS, tried CoComment or just make a quick bookmark and track them manually for a few days

The second kinda reads like an ALICE bot that has been modified. I could be wrong though

I've only been following this for a few hours now, but it nearly made me throw up my breakfast.
Sure, the higher your presence on the web, the higher the probability that you'll attract the scum that's also participating on the 'net, but this is just disgusting.
Being disruptive is one thing, it's what many bloggers are all about, but this isn't disruptive anymore. Woman or not, this is the most unprofessional and antisocial way of "taking part in a discussion".
I hope that karma gets back to those who tried to shut up an important voice of today's tech world.

I'll try for the iMate JAQ3 - #1.
Why? Because for a student it's hard to afford such devices, yet we're the group that can utilize them the most.

What's also sad is that he wrote "live" instead of "life".
Sad indeed, especially if you take into consideration that this is the generation that is growing up to be the part of society we will have to rely on when we're older and retired

in Jot updates its wiki service to pass “Blink” test on Scobleizer
What I'd like to see are more hosted wiki applications.
Sure, theres MoinMoin and Wikimedia and others, but all of them miss the simplicity that Jot and others offer.
Jot, then again, has a version you can install on your own site but its a tad too expensive for the casual user.

in New Items on the Schedule? on Elliott Back's Blog
Wow, last time I was able to get to bed at 9 pm was when I pulled an all-nighter the night before.
I found out though, that if I condition my body to unusually long sleeping cycles ( > 9 hours),, it will be _very_ tough to actually get up and moving once I'm back to more stressfull times.
Maybe you should sleep one hour less and read half an hour more? I find it makes for a far better sleep and it has the added advantage of even expanding your horizon (depending on what you read, of course)
