The only way it would work (I'm guessing) it would have to be like a plane. After a plane is in the air it is pressureized. There is no change in breathing patterns, so I imagine that all windows would be sealed shut (FIRE hazard) and there would be a strick ban on smoking in case if they did have to pump all of that air to the top. It would eliminate everyone's social life at the top, so I guess there goes the idea of entertaining people. Although I suppose the top would be a great place for tourist. The comfort of being warm and the ease of an elevator to the top to see that view. Personally I wouldn't go there as a tourist as it seems like a complete death trap, and my luck a massive fire would break out and the thing would sink all at once.

One last thought for anyone that might know this information. If this was built wouldn't this structure hurt Tokyo's fishing market along with other trade commerce?

To further speculate on Lukes post about the lop-sided media. You are 100% correct on both accounts of East and West media. American media is horrible, and for as much as I watch the news I haven't really heard anything about the whaling issue on U.S. news channels. The answer isn't to eat sun flowers but to shed light on your and Viet's comment, All in moderation. I don't really care if the Native Americans or Japanese hunt whales. I think that the U.S, forgets that Japan is an island nation that relies on fishing more than the States do. Of course it looks like an autrosity to the US. The same can be looked at from the Indian (nation of India) point of view with the slaughtering and comsumption of cows. Look at the thousands of cows that are killed each year in the US alone. While I'm not defending Japan's gov't/fishing practices (or the US) you have to look at the fact that Japan has to find a way of feeding it's people. They don't have the same luxury as the US in terms of land for agriculture. The only reason why people get pissy is b/c whales especially certain types are just starting to rebound from extinction. That and the term "research". It is along the same controversy as shark fin soup. Whether anyone agrees with me or not it doesn't matter as it is just my opinion.

Will the origami airplane ever make it to Earth?
I'm intrested in whether or not it is even heavy enough to fall back into Earth's orbit, let alone fall through the atmosphere.

No I haven't, but I hope they leave that the hologram there as a tourist attraction. It would be a great part of the Tokyo night life.

Sure even though I hate seafood. I force myself to try seafood all the time I just can't adjust to the taste. But you only live once, and I'm open to trying new things. I have confidence that it would be prepared properly.

Okay so I have no clue where I should of posted this question. Does anyone on this website via staff or viewer know whether or not you call stuents by their first name or by their family name? I am curious because I'm going to school for Japanese Studies and when I am finished I am moving to Japan to become a ESL instructor. Thanks.

Thanks for the info guys. I was just curious. I wasn't sure it was last name first still b/c they are younger and only students. I guess now that you guys have explained it to me it does seem kind of weird not to say their last names first. Anyway thanks again for the help.

I think having a "This Week in Japan" section would be great. Like how you guys started too back in Jan. Do a recap of the week news from Japan. I'd also be interested in learning more about Japan's holidays and ceremonies. Other than that I'm content with what you guys post for us.
