It was very interesting to see this story because it had a connection to my past. Throughout my high school years I participated in a sail training program on board a square topsail schooner Tabor Boy. In the summer of 1977, we transported a replica of the Turtle submarine on our deck from Boston to Essex, CT. Here is a link to some drawings that one of my shipmates recently found that were done during the voyage.

I am certainly not an expert in this area and find little to argue with in your well thought out post.

But it does strike me that Hawaiian Superferry's management might have missed the proverbial boat in not anticipating and planning for this outcome and making sure their significant investments and employees were protected.

We haven't been able to purchase Honest Tea in our supermarket in the past but now I'm hopeful that we'll find it there. I'm sure this transition is not without its challenges but these types of changes rarely are. It's great to keep up with it here. Thanks for sharing and good luck!
