Robert, what did Alec Ross say about Obama using social media when you encouraged him to do so and do you have any more details on what he does for Obama. I still think there are many ways Obama can use social media during his campaign and when he is in the White House, but he has a very strong start. Great post, thanks.

Hey Robert, looks pretty good! Couple things though.

1. There should be more posts on the first homepage, there is a setting somewhere in wordpress for this. That way people can get a better idea of the different content without having to go through archives.

2. Logo is good, but not liking the search bar design. And Subscribe should be vertically centered with the feed icon maybe.

I have twitter on my profile, I don't use twitter to interact with friends at school but more with people from around the world. Sometimes I even put "twitter. see profile" in my facebook status. They should just make it so that a tiwtter, jaiku, pownce etc facebook app can automatically put your tweets or whatever into the facebook status.

This has happened to me numerous times before. I simply refresh the page or go back to the main page and search again, and it works fine. Also finding when I search for someone and then go to click on their name it sometimes doesn't allow me to go to the profile. Like clicking the link does nothing.

Scoble, I can not view your friends profiles.So there is now way to see the videos. I think you mentioned this in another post as well. You have to friend someone first, I can only see who your friends are.

It's a great idea and it's not such a great idea. I could just post a image of a competitors product or post something inappropriate and just tag it so it will show up on the home page. I think Yahoo Games had some trouble with this a while ago. Maybe there is an approval process that I don't know about.

I don't think anybody can be too old for Facebook. It just matters if you are comfortable with the whole concept and want to use it.

I recently friended some bloggers that are older than the normal Facebook user and they wanted to know who we connected. And I said that I read their blogs.

By the way I am in high school so Facebook is a big part of the internet to most of my friends.

Yeah, Jeff Han has done some nice work. Its nice what microsoft is doing, but come on its microsoft, its expensive, and there demos dont prove much. Check out Jeff Hans video from TED.

Finally!

Oh no! This is not good. World of Warcraft is a great game but when people become addicted to it, it is not a pretty scene. Trust me my friends used be addicted. (they have gotten much better though) My friends and I that don't play make fun of our friends who do play by saying wow with a big O mouth and putting three fingers about on both sides so that they are Ws. Now, Robert I do not want to hear about you playing WOW at all and getting addicted.

I love make and can imagine how awesome an event put on them would be. Too bad I wont be in the area. You will have to tell me all about it Robert.

I think corporate people could deff. use Twitter. I dont know if I want it being used for "product placement" like David says. They could use it to rack meetings and such. Do they have the time to use Twitter?

I find that alot of people use Twitter. However, there seems to be a better application out there called Jaiku. (Jaiku.com) It seems to work with Twitter somehow but I cant figure that out. Give it a look.

This is a great question. I learn best by experimenting. (thats how I learned InDesign) To some extent you do have to teach the skills and train people how to do the work, because thats what they are going to need in the real world. But, exploring their fields, finding themselves, and learning to think creatively is very important. While recently researching colleges (Im a 16yr old high school junior) I found that one school had workshop classes that students were required to take in order to learn the skills and then there were the classes in which they had more freedom to explore their field.

I recently created a class of my own to make a website for videos and podcasts for the school. Some people know how to use the technology and some I am teaching how to use the programs.
