It's funny - I thought being away from home, blogging would be a good way to keep up with friends and family - but instead its become a new, small network of new 'friends' that you can share things with. And the comments are in part funny, sage advice and inspirational. It's really helped some days.

Almost melted? God love ya baby, but I'm jealous. It rained so bad here the other day, I almost got blown into the harbour and ended up walking around the office with suit pants completely drenched from the knee down. I know there's no snow here for winter - but I was chilled to the bone.

Mmmm, heatwave is sounding good to me as I sit and write in my flannel and fleece! (This country has not heard of insulation and/or central heating...)

I apologise for being a little inebriated as I write this (I blame the time difference...) but I just wanted to encourage you to hang out just a little bit longer for what you want.

I too have moved cities (okay - countries) and knew I was in the right city but couldn't find the right job. It took three years to get back to where I had originally beem but in the end it was worth it.

I don't know why you left Chicago - but there must have been a good reason. Trust yourself - what is your gut telling you to do?

'Bender' is defnitely a Canadian term (you've really never heard it before??) and can lead to a condition called PBP - not to be confused with the dt's - but it doesn't sound like you have any symptoms....

It's fall where I am. There's been a cold snap - it's only 25 degrees Celcius here(77 Farenheit for my American friends) and people are pulling out their woolies. Seriously fleece and scarves. A few degrees cooler and they'll be pulling out their mittens!

Don't know where I got that. Been spouting AA garb all week..... After years of growing up and been forced to listen to my Dad's AA tapes - it seeps out at the strangest times!!
