1. Great new logo!!
2. I relate with the Christmas songs thing as well! We did one this week, and then the children also did a Christmas-y song, though it was new to all.
3. Had a maybe unusual God-story to tell this Sunday on my setlist post! God uses blogs! Very cool. :)

Great set list, Fred!
Our group is about the size of your "smaller" band, give or a take a few. :)

Great set list, Fred!
Your smaller band is about the size of our usual one, with the exception that we sometimes have two acoustics and maybe a few extra vocalists (or not). :)

A good day today!
@Jim and all: I love Baloche's "What Can I Do?" Wonderful, heartfelt song!
We did do "Give Thanks" in our early service today. I actually hadn't originally planned to, but then decided it was the choice I should have made for the response song!

We had snow last night here! Brr!! Too cold for me sometimes, though the snow is beautiful!
Thank You, Lord is a good song! We haven't done it before, but I've heard Paul Baloche's own version of it. Great for the Thanksgiving season, too!

Hi, Fred! I'm so glad I went back through your blog posts and found this. I was on vacation the week you posted this, & never got back far enough to see it. Wish I had been able to post a blog post for Blog Action Day as well! I'm so glad you had found a child to sponsor via Compassion. And what a great thing for your whole family to experience and learn from as well as showing the sponsored child love from all of you!

Love the songs you picked this week, Fred! Mighty To Save, How Great Is Our God, How Great Thou Art... such powerful songs with lyrics that I hope all embrace in exalting God and trusting in Him! :)
I'm hoping to eventually introduce How Great Is Our God (w/the chorus from How Great Thou Art) to our early service group via the choir. Praying for the right time. :)

Nice set there, Fred! I love some of those songs and really wish we did "I Will Never Be..." more. It's a song that so describes my thankfulness to God!
We also did "Hosanna" today. Love that song as well.
I'm sure you enjoyed the Big Daddy Weave concert! I saw them a little while back myself, and I love their music. A lot of their songs are well-based in the Word and are quite uplifting and renewing of the mind for that reason! I still have to get their new album though!

Wow, if 2 acoustics, drums, and bass is your stripped down band, I'm curious what the full is! Our is only that, plus 1 electric and piano usually, not much more (and we just recently got the additional acoustic player).
Creative way to post your set list! Nifty! :)

Some scriptures that have been on my heart lately are those related to the Church and how it should function to be healthy, namely:
Philippians 2 (first half)
Ephesians 4
Romans 12
Also, for my own church in general, Psalm 66:8-12 - this has been on my heart for about a year, and then I was reminded of it again this week. I think our church isn't there yet though... we're still going through fire and water, but God will be faithful!
