My wait paid off. Now the Arcata Recycling Center takes them, but it costs money ($1 I think).

Re: A Proper Introduction and a Few Questions

Derek, I didn't know you lost a child to a VSD. Half of my yoga class tonight either rode a bike or walked. The affordable EVs can't come out soon enough for me. I just $4.69 for plus unleaded and $5.09 for diesel 2.

Re: Is Living Off the Grid Right For You?

16 years off-the-grid for me, but I am blessed with a great creek for our hydro. My poor lonely solar panels are not even hooked up anymore after being returned by a friend I loaned them to.One of my friends is putting in 7 poles to join the grid instead of investing in upgrading his system.

Re: Are Sigg Aluminum Bottles BPA Free?

I like my KK bottles, and they do not leak. I do not like that they are made in China, but I have also been told you have to look carefully at Sigg bottles. They will claim to be Swiss Made, but then they are actually made in China, as stated on the bottom of the bottle. I have not seen this first hand. I do worry about the epoxy liner, as it is impossible to inspect the inside of a bottle, and then aluminum could be leaching into your water.

Here's what Sigg told me when I questioned them:

http://ecochildsplay.com/2007/03/14/sigg-update... />
