Whenever I tick "show footer" and hit save, it seems the "Show footer" get automatically unchecked. Any ideas?

Thanks! Appreciate the work.

Re: Widgets Getting More Ads?

I just recently placed ads on my Facebook App (Fantasy Stock Picking Game) to help pay for the bandwidth the game is using. Unlike most apps, mine has an extensive backend to it.

I read through the Developer TOS thoroughly before doing this and nowhere does it ban you from placing ads on the canvas or on user's profiles.

They do, obviously, reserve the right to remove your app at any time without warning and for no reason - so its best not to piss them off. Also, user's aren't going to keep your app installed if its all just advertisements.

Hope this helps!

Re: Apps Directory Suffers Major Delays

Just so you know, its not based purely on order. Applications with larger user bases will be looked at before an application that was submitted a couple days before it with only 20 users.

Re: The Facebook Ad Network?

I, for one, don't think they would ban something like this.

People have been speculating that all sorts of apps would be banned because they are competing with Facebook. Free Gifts (in all its forms), Polls, etc. All have been allowed to flourish on Facebook.

I don't think they'd stop an app from doing this. I think they're taking the mindset of "we should be able to do it better" rather then banning others who try to create a superior product.

Re: Facebook Developers Are Making Money

I haven't found too much trouble with the platform, but there is certainly some issues.

I feel that its more important for targeted advertisers like Google and the other big CPC players to pick up the pace and allow us to place ads on our facebook apps.

I have been turned away from a few of the bigger advertisers out there because my ads would be appearing on the canvas page instead of on my own domain.

What would be useful is for Google and Facebook to work something out where they would allow their javascript on the canvas page so that Google's contextual advertising would work.

Re: Facebook Wallet Launching

This isn't new. With the current inbox system there is no search offered.

Since the launch of my application my inbox mail has skyrocketed. The other day I wanted to go back a couple months and find a message. The only way for me to do it was to scan back manually looking for the right one.

If they add in a Gmail-esque search feature that would be a huge help.

Re: Facebook is Number One In Canada?

Alexa has no algorithm and I have no idea why its such a renowned gauge of traffic. It only collects data based on users who have their toolbar installed.

At last check for me, that was 0% of people I know.
