Alex Kinch That long ago? Goodness, you would have thought people would've figured it out they were being duped by now! Still, it's always amusing to see who out of your address book falls for these things..

in The Swine Flu Poll – What’s Your Take? on A Disease A Day
There isn't really a question in the poll that I can identify with to be honest.

My take is that the whole swine flu is something of a conspiracy - I've heard it was developed in a lab and accidentally got out.

Here in the UK, since the news went mainstream I've also noticed a lot of other important issues, especially concerning government, have received less coverage which all seems rather convenient to me.

in Since Google Acquired FeedBurner Everthing is Fuc0ed on LiveCrunch Technology Blog
I've not had any problems with Pro but my reported number of readers has dropped by about 60%. I don't obsess over the number of subscribers I have but would like it to be an accurate figure that is reported.

in Do What Works for You on Chris Brogan
I empathise with you completely Chris - I've tried many a social site and always give them some time to see if they will 'gel' into my routines.

However, Plurk just didn't 'do it' for me either, for much the same reasons that you quoted.

in Top 5 Tools to Protect your Children Online on Palaestra Training
Personally, I moved my kids computers into one central location from where I can keep half an eye on what they are doing.

I was thinking of installing a keylogger to allow me to see exactly what they are up to at times but I know my eldest is clever enough to get around that by using friends' computers.

I guess, ultimately, explaining to your kids what is right, wrong, safe and dangerous online is all you can do to be absolutely sure they don't come across unsuitable material or unsavoury people.

Booth was shot in a barn which is very much like a warehouse I guess. If you believe Oswald was the assassin then all of that is indeed true.

I see Matt Jones of Blogging Fingers is also trying to sell his page again along with CashQuests - does that mean that you are ALL running away and, if so, why?

If this was someone unknown launching this project it would be doomed to failure as it has been done before, but the Cow has some influential people to blog about it... it might just work for him.

You mention "they" who own the millioneurowiki but cashquests writes as if you are the owner - is that right?

I've just put a new header on my site which seems to load very slowly for the first page view - does anyone know if this caching technique help to improve that or should I be changing the .png images to another format?

in Video: Is BlogRush Legit or a Scam? on Marketing Pilgrim
If you have a high traffic blog, like mlm and don't mind risking your Adsense account then it may work well for you.

For smaller blogs I think, whilst you may still see some traffic, the effects will be negligible.

in Scam Mail from a Dubai(?) Scamster » Ajay - On the Road called Life on Ajay - On the Road called Life!
To Rev C:

You'd be surprised just how many 'fools' are out there. I've seen reports that suggest that up to 1% of the internet population has been scammed online at least once.

Many are a bit foolish, admittedly, though many more are brought up to be trusting people, especially the religious ones.

Whilst they continue to be duped the number of scammers will continue to increase - some of these African scammers can make more from one mailshot and con than they can from working a whole year in their countries!
