in Five Free Twitter Tools for Maximum Leverage on Pajama Professional
I've yet to make the leap to Twitter. I don't know, I just feel like I'm connected enough as it is. I do follow one Twitter feed, but it's more for personal reasons that anything. All these tools do make it seem kind of fun, though...I may pass over to the dark side yet.

The Fly 2? I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I can't imagine that's even remotely watchable.l

in Movie Notes: The Dead Zone on Webomatica
I've been meaning to watch this for some time now. My mom said the book was really good, especially given King's own experiences after his accident. I saw The Mist the other day, though, and that put me off his movies for a while.

in I’ve Been Outed on Webomatica
I'm glad you're not unhappy about being outed. I had the same thing happen once before, and I ended up killing the blog to remove the associations. It sucked, but it was a little more personal in nature and definitely not something I'd want every current or prospective employer to be digging through.

in The Oprah Effect On Podcasts And Other Technology on Webomatica
I can't wait for the day when I can easily listen to internet radio in my car without pre-recording it or using my laptop and Verizon air card. Until then, I probably won't be consuming much in the way of podcasts.
And ditto on the "sick of Oprah" thing. I just don't see the attraction.

I have a co-worker who is beyond pumped about this release. I'll have to point her to this writeup until she Netflixes the real thing.

in Random Thoughts On Working At A Startup on Webomatica
I've had some very enticing offers from startups, but I've always decided in favor of my current job at an e-commerce company that's somewhat like a startup, but less crazy and much more stable like an "old-fashioned" business. The way I see it, if I'm going to make the sacrifices that come with working at a true startup, I'm going to be doing it for myself, not someone else (not that I really want to do that at this point in time).

in Other Uses For Netflix on Webomatica
Good for them. I wouldn't be bothered at all to hear that a local video store was renting that way. It's hard enough for them to stay in business without me insisting that they own a copy of every single title that may not be a successful rental. Of course, I would just put the items in my own Netflix queue in most cases, but if you were a technophobe or if you just wanted it right away, it would work out pretty well.

in MyBlogLog Adds Activity Feed on Webomatica
Funny you should mention this after your post on Glut. This is just more information that I don't need or want. I've never felt like it was difficult to find blogs I'd care to read or locate what friends were doing.

in Movie Notes: Superman Returns on Webomatica
As much as I love Superman, I wasn't crazy about Superman returns. Maybe I've just been spoiled by the surprisingly good character dynamics in Smallville (and excellent acting from Michael Rosenbaum), but it felt cold and a little hollow. Plus, I was disgusted at the fact that Superman might have an out of wedlock child that was being raised by another man. Superman shouldn't be that slimy.

in Movie Notes: The Hours on Webomatica
I thought I would hate this, so much that I avoided it until about a month and a half ago. While it wasn't the brightest thing to watch on a cold, gloomy winter day, it was a lot better than I expected.

Sounds kind of handy - I'll definitely check it out. I use anywhere from 10-15 social sites on a semi-regular basis, so this might be useful...

The Angry Journalist page is hysterical. It reminds me very much of a co-worker here who rants non-stop about pretty much anything.

in Weekly $0.99 iTunes Movie Rentals on Webomatica
That's pretty cool. I've been enjoying the same kind of thing with Amazon's Unbox. If you have a TIVO, you can download directly from Amazon onto your Tivo unit and watch sometime within the month. They usually have several .99 movies each week, often pretty new stuff.

in Old Media Getting It: More Classic TV Shows on Webomatica
Yes, the resurgence in old TV shows is awesome. I've been using my Hulu beta membership to watch old Doogie Howsers and Airwolf episodes. The video ads are a little irritating at first, but I've gotten used to them now.

in Some Notes On Spam on Webomatica
Do you use anything outside of Akismet, or do you find that it catches most of yours? I've seen a few pieces slip through here and there on my blogs, but one gets enough that I've considered adding additional protection so I can go back to using the DoFollow plugin without worries.

in Mulligatawny Monday | Article Marketing Content, Principles, Publishing on Free Traffic Tips
I recently came across your blog, so while these are definitely older posts, they're still very "fresh off the farm" for me. I'm finding a lot of great posts that some of the bigger web marketing blogs missed. Good stuff!

in Money Mondays Tip #4: Using Conversion Keys on Free Traffic Tips
Great tips, and I love the focus on conversion. Too many people talk about nothing but traffic and they ignore the fact that they might actually be much more effective by simple tweaking things on their end.

in Is Home Depot Scamming People With Fake Comments? on Instigator Blog
Very true, Mike. I knew a guy who had worked in Home Depot for years throughout school and eventually decided that he wanted to keep working there in higher positions (as opposed to pursuing the "rat race"). He ended up leaving and going to an office job because they required 10-20 fewer hours every week than the Home Depot job, plus the pay was better.

in How-To Create the Perfect Company Blog on Instigator Blog
The company I work for (Vat19.com) has been doing a blog since last August. Since then, we've made a number of connections through the blog and we've had opportunities to get links that we never would have gotten with just the e-commerce side of the page. Plus, we have fun working on it and it helps to break up the "serious work".

in How Do You Prepare for Presentations? on Instigator Blog
These are great points. I've given a number of speeches, but I've never really given much thought to the preparation. I did a lot of tutoring through high school and college, so I just pretend like I'm going to sit down and explain something to someone else and it usually flows pretty naturally.

in Standout Jobs Goes Live! on Instigator Blog
Congratulations on the launch. I'm not looking for a job these days, but I definitely wish that more companies had taken this more interactive approach. It seems like most places have the "old media" attitude and just throw their ads up on the internet as though it's a display ad for a newspaper.

in How-To Price Freelance Projects Successfully on Instigator Blog
Great list. On the occasion that I find myself doing freelance work, I definitely try to follow a very similar set of rules for myself. The only place where I really deviate is that I will negotiate on price if they actually commit to the future work. Without commitment, though, there's no discount. I also make it very clear that the discount applies only to that set of projects and I've never had a problem raising the price for single projects in the future.

in Google Adsense Arbitrage- Finally The Step In the Right Direction on Vlad Zabblotskyy - A politically Incorrect Blogger
I would love to see it happen, but even now, many months later, I still feel like the content network is generally not worth the time because of the low quality traffic you often get.
