I have a laptop with a hybrid drive and vista, it's a Sony sz650 and ReadyDrive works a treat. It comes out of sleep and hibernate really quickly and generally just seems pretty nippy. I noticed the hard drive powering down quite regularly, but it makes a little clicking noise when it does and this annoyed me a bit so I turned off aggressive power management.
