This is good news. I really had no idea what to expect with the diversity (both in worship style and exegesis)that exists in the present PCA. The "no Sunday evening service" will give you a chance to probably do some of the campus Sunday evening stuff, maybe some of the parachurch groups (Campus Crusade, BYU (or whatever they call it..., etc.)

Re: Jandy’s Meanderings » Out of Shape!

Peddling over to Academy Sports might be the solution to adjusting the handlebars.... But they are not as big in Waco as they are in/near Houston. I interviewed for a job at the Manned Spacecraft Center in 1967, rented a car so I could scope out the area a bit to see where we might live if we moved there, and was driving near Seabrook, TX (just southeast of the MSC a few miles) looking for apartments. Had to stop three times to let the ROACHES cross the road. I might have even tuned for that. But since I am reading this on Thursday morning, I think I have missed it. Was the show taped in advance, or do they do these live?

Re: Pet Peeve: Security questions asking for your “favorite”

Well said! I have often worried about banks using "mother's maiden name" as it seem s that it would be easy for somebody to find out if they really wanted to. And they all seem to just love that one. I often use "favorite movie" and just vowed to never change no matter what new movie comes out that I like more.... First pet's name I guess is OK with me. Just can't use "pet's name"

Re: Featured Video: The Broadway Ballet

Wow! Wow, this thing could have been filmed live in politics this week. With the Blagojevich scandal in Illinois now in full swing, I thought all through the film, the state is Illinois, and we are watching realtime news. Thanks for the heads up of what was going to be on TV this week!

Re: Featured Video: Star Wars Retold by Someone Who Hasn’t Seen It

Now I won't need to watch Star Wars trilogy, or quadrilogy, or whatever it is by now. I got the story! That 4 minute clip just saved me HOURS!

Re: http://www.the-frame.com/blog/2009/05/11/on-theatre-vs-film-or-my-biases-become-clarified/

What a great analysis of why you like a particular medium! I never think that much about such stuff. I either like it or I don't like it, but don't think much about why that really is. And to compare/contrast with another person and their reactions made this a really strong post to me. Very interesting. By the way, your fascination of moving the sets between scenes on a live stage is inherited. I am always captured by all the "other things going on to make a production work" when I see live plays. I forget what the story is about with the fascination of how fast they changed the set, and the motors that must be underneath the stage to make all that work so seamlessly.....

Re: Featured Video: Totally Like Whatever, You Know?

Fun to watch!
