thanks for your thoughts Chris. I, for one, appreciate the honesty with which you wrote your review. I agree with your thoughts about needing to get into some NT to talk about how Jesus used the OT to guide his life, not just focus on the OT. Does that make sense?

One of my biggest adventures was over 2 years ago when I was between ministries. There was a period of 9 months that I had a "sabbatical" from full-time vocational ministry. Each day brought a new adventure and blessing. We learned a lot about trusting God to provide and He always did. Even when we didn't know what would happen next, God took care of us each step of the journey.

vision is a tough thing. Even harder when you are in the minority.

praying for you. It is not an easy road, but like you said God will be in control.

That is also one book in my pile to read. Communicating for a Change is a great read - I adjusted some of my prep for preaching after I read it.

one thing I have found is that it doesn't take long for a part time admin assisstant to have too much to do with part time

Our admin assisstant only works part time. She answers the phone, puts our weekly bulletin and newsletter together for distribution, helps with copies and such for our preschool, and enters data into the computer. I know she does more, but this is the bulk of what she does on a regular basis.
