Great advice! I wish the schools would take a closer look at this.

When my kids were in private school, they didn't like to read mainly because the school dictated what books qualified for reading credit. My eight year old was just not interested in reading the books in their classical library. So I found books he liked to read and though he didn't get credit for them, I let him read them.

When we started homeschooling his love for reading took off. I would often catch him staying up way too late engrossed in a Christian fantasy novel. I do limit his reading to books I feel enforce Chritian values and principles, but I'm so glad he has learned to love reading. I don't think he would have learned to love books if he was always forced to read things he didn't enjoy.

Too funny! But not nearly as bad as what my daughter likes to sing and do. Remember that old song, "Shake, Shake, Shake..." Well, you can probably figure it out.

BTW, I had to move you off the WI webring a while ago because the code monster found no code on your blog. I can send you a new one. And do you have a Feedblitz/feedburner on this blog so I can subscribe. I never check bloglines, but if it comes to my email, I read it!

I just added the High Calling widget to WI. Do you know why there's a lot of white space at the top of the widget?

Okay, I know it's late, but not as late as it says it is! I have another question...I clicked on Michelle's review of the Betrayed and it took me to a page on WI that's not scheduled to post until next week! How is that possible? Very strange!

Great session, Maria. I did think of a question when we went off line. How do you balance a business (making money) with ministry? I have a site/ministry http://writerinterrupted.com which I'm currently redesigning, but I need to make money some how. How do you balance that? And should you combine a ministry with a business?
