The first time I ordered something from Lulu I actually burst out laughing... because after I'd forked over all that money for shipping, it turned out the place they ship from is something like a 6 hour drive from me.

Ugh. Well, if I can do preorders I can actually offer each of the books for more than 40% less than I have to sell them for at Lulu. And all that for shipping? Guh. Time to find a new place for printing! Lulu was really good a while back, but it's gradually gotten greedy, I think.

About your comixpress question...
I don't know about comixpress but I've heard good things about Ka-Blam. (Whatever you pick, please make it somewhere with more merciful international shipping fees than Lulu? I want the two Lint books I'm missing for ages, but ridiculous Lulu shipping costs + diving Canadian dollar = pushing $75 for two comic books)

Ouch, that is just too much. Well, at first sight, Comixpress is looking like the cheapest route by a longshot, but I'll have to take everything into consideration as they have a setup fee that is kind of big for each individual book. I've heard the downside is it takes them a long time to actually print your books and get them to you. Using Comixpress would mean I would actually handle all of the shipping business, so it's likely the international shipping would be less as I'd be handling it personally. (Unless it actually costs an astronomical amount to ship a book to Canada, which I doubt.)

in #386 - Wherein Bactine scares the heck out of Fang on Lint
Oops. Bactine should've kicked him harder.
She's in a pretty good position to blast him off the balcony now, though...

Did Bactine just kick him where I think she kicked him? Out of all the things I expected her to do that wasn't even on the list...
(and I like how Zedwig's just hanging out by the door like it's none of his business)

He shot Sangwine in the gut? That's just brutal.
Nice page.

Brutak yes but lucky for Sangwine this wound will take time to kill him. Zedwig risk to be healed and there will still have time for Sangwine to be rescued. Maybe not by Bactine but the other are in their way.

Always nice to see a villain who knows when to quit gloating and get on with it :P

Fang isn't the gloaty type... he's the swift application of means-to-his-ends type. His favorite weapons are surprise and aggression, and he'd never give his opponents the advantage of knowing what he plans to do next, so you'll never have a scene with him where he tells his whole plan to the protagonist he's about to kill in some elaborate way.
"Your DOOM!" made me snicker. I need to make one of those kinds of bad guys sometime.

Oh yeah, and to join in the wild theorising...
Fang's shooting point-blank. Either he misses on purpose, or Bactine had better have it in her to raise the dead.

This page gets the honour of being the first time a comic has made me yell something I won't repeat, out loud. And that look on Fang's face right before he pulls out the gun is scary.

Oh, crap. Bactine doesn't have any idea who these two strange men on the balcony are, does she?

Yikes! Sangwine's Grand Entrance completely caught me by surprise. And Zedwig's expressions are amazing.
To all the people saying bad timing... I have a hard time believing Fang was sincerely capitulating to Zedwig's plan. He may be down but he's not out yet.

Hmm, I figured Zedwig meant what he was saying *because* he's nutsoid, & I was strongly suspecting he was purposely omitting to mention some horrible catch.
Didn't consider he might be outright lying... ((Unless you are, just to confuse us. In which case you succeed.))

What's wrong with the east, Zedwig? He sure looks ticked in that one panel.
I like that first big panel a lot.

"Cine get ne givet"? I'm having a hard time deciding if it's some kind of actual code or just a mindscrew.
I'm kind of hoping we're about to see Sangwine's dad in portrait form, or something.... but this whole thing is pretty mysterious.

I love Fang's expression in the 3rd panel. You can tell he genuinely doesn't believe what he just heard.
Cool magic effectrs too.
