in Thoughts about being on TV and on CES on Scobleizer
Robert, I thought you did a great job!

Were you nervous at all? Have you done much TV?

in “What’s your audience size?” is wrong question on Scobleizer
The problem is that very few bloggers understand what art is.

in Why Valleywag is only right 17.3% of the time and why we like it on Scobleizer
Oh God, it's embarrassing when provincial Yanks discuss British culture.

As for that Valleywag guy, I've got an email from him in response to a rumour we submitted that would knock your socks off.

in Dear Jeff Bezos (one-week Kindle review) on Scobleizer
The Kindle was designed by Cheek Piederbonk of Wolff Olins, same people behind the reviled London 2012 Olympics logo.

Good stuff, Daniel. Any word on a more fully developed WordPress integration?

Veronica does a fantastic job! People take the piss out of Mahalo almost as much as hulu. It's great to see both services proving the naysayers wrong.

Hear hear!

We encourage everyone to dump Facebook and work with us on the Universe Combobulator instead.

in My Reliance on Facebook is Dangerous on AllFacebook
Facebook and Microsoft... what excellent bedfellows.

FB's a nice toy, but I'll stick with Google, thanks.

in Recruiting Gets Harder at Facebook on AllFacebook
I assume you're claiming Facebook is "worth billions" on the back of the recent investments? Erroneous extrapolation.

When Facebook floats, then they may be worth billions. Right now, that isn't the case.

An important distinction, I think.

in Crawling around the Social Media Starfish, er, reading feeds on Scobleizer
Couldn't agree more on the increasingly mainstream and "me too" mentality of blogging, Robert.

At Dibbly Media, we regard this as an exciting opportunity to do something a little different. (I believe we've got an interesting article featuring your good self coming up soon.)

in Will the real Dave Winer please stand up? on Mathew's comments
These spats between tech "heavyweights" are pretty embarrassing sometimes. Dave, grow up and stop crying (in public) about how mean and yucky Calcanis is. If you've got issues with him, send him an email or something. (Or would you lose out on traffic if you did it that way?)

It's just pathetic the way you lot do this stuff in public.

(No offence, btw. Most of the stuff you write is top-notch.)

in Nice to see Yahoo coming on strong… on Scobleizer
If we're doing a Yahoo-Google thing here (and if you'll pardon the tangent), let me just state that while I'm a confirmed Googler when it comes to search, as far as public displays of corporate face are concerned, Yahoo wins hands-down!

Google's just so bland in their communications (I'm thinking mainly blogs here). Yahoo, meanwhile, tend to come across as actual, ya'know, human beings. They laugh, they cry -- they have life.

So no, I don't use their search. But they're certainly more fun to follow :)

in Colophon : LOL: The Life of Leo on Leo Laporte: The Tech Guy
Quick note, Leo: WordPress isn't, strictly speaking, "by" Matt Mullenweg. While he is the lead developer, the original WordPress code he developed was in fact forked from another open-source project. Since then, many people other than Matt have contributed to WP's development. Certainly it wouldn't be close to the system it is if he were the only one working on it :) (I say all this with the greatest respect for Matt -- he's a great guy.)

Perhaps remove the "by Matt Mullenweg" bit?

in Jakob Nielsen says “don’t be like Scoble” on Scobleizer
History may judge us harshly, Robert. But let us take a stand against 2.0's community obsession, and be islands with some interesting hook-ups, eh?
