I hear you ladies. I was 43, single when I realised I had not been treasuring myself with men. I took a stand, this is who I am and this is what I desire. And I told everyone. I was set up with my husband and we are celebrating our 6 year anniversary this month!

I have come to know that just as you are an expert in numbers there are those that are experts in life, relationships, feelings. A book I highly recommend is The Seven Principles for making Marriage Work by John M. Gottman. The Gottman Institute also offers couples weekend workshops. May you find your voice again.

When I was younger I didn't want to attract attention (men) and now I wish I had owned my femininity. We are given our looks, it is a gift. This goes for ones beauty, intelligence, creativity... and when we don't own and treasure those gifts I feel we are ignoring the universes offering.

I hear you, for 3 years I couldn't run (gained 20 pounds) and in the summer no lovely sandals for me. Thank god birkenstock design white simple sandals, I wear them everyday! They also come in fabulous colors.

My hair is fine but I have a lot of it. Today is a bad hair day, you can always tell with me, I wear a hair band. And I love having short hair but it is a lot of work. Shaved head is looking so good!!!

The right bra is a must. I am small breasted with a back the size of a football player so I have one bra for dress up, actually gives me cleavage and the rest of the time i wear bra tops. I am amazed at how much bras cost and the bigger you are the more expensive but as Danielle has taught me spend the money and get the best!

Danielle is my beauty guide. When we first met I had mascara and one lipstick. I used hand cream on my face. I now faithfully care for my skin and can do my own make up. She is my inspiration, thanks D.

After I have washed my hair it goes flat. It looks better if I wash my hair only once a week, natural oils give body. And going to bed with wet hair gives some wave maybe even some curl!!

I buy frozen whole wheat pizza dough for a couple of dollars, roll out, douse with olive oil, add cherry tomatoes, basil and goat cheese (any cheese will do). Under $10 in about 20 min!

I highly recommend Gottman's relationship workshop. We benefit from his exercises daily, ie move daily towards your partner with small gestures.

As Refined Treasure, gift giving is a about planning, remembering and discovering the desire of my loved ones. Several Christmas's ago I had a photo of my nieces blown up in sepia tones, three feet by four feet. It hangs proudly over my bothers fireplace. Modern like him, and a treasure for my sister in law.
