in Do Something - Recognizing Young Leaders on Connecting People
As both an educator and a businessman, I feel that stories such as this one are so encouraging and inspirational. The scholarships may enable some of these "born leaders" to learn the very skills that will enable them to become leaders in industry and the corporate world.

in Eliminate Copywriting “Burnout” Forever on Copywriting Grab Bag
I really like your idea about preventing burnout. Simply keeping one's schedule organized can really make the person juggling a dozen projects feel more "in control" and, therefore, less likely to become overwhelmed and want to quit!

in When Bloggers Unite on amishshah.com
I stumbled across your blog while I was in the process of doing some online research. Those of us who blog know that there are indeed social aspects to our avocation; I hope that, as you grow more comfortable with your blog, your connections with fellow bloggers will multiply exponentially!

in Does worship music need to be fixed? on TonyMorganLive.com
I stumbled across your blog while I was doing some online research. I am also a Christian and, therefore, I appreciate Christian worship music. I'm not sure it would draw people to religion, however, even if they enjoy it.

in Listening to Satellite Radio… on Scobleizer
I don't spend a lot of time on Digg, so can someone please tell me why there has been such a big uproar/outcry against the pay-to-post proposal from Jason C.? Quality won't automatically go down just because money is involved...

in Buying out Top Users on Digg, Del.cio.us, Flickr, MySpace and Reddit on theory.isthereason
I don't know the details of Jason's offer, so I might be way off base here. But I think it's perfectly acceptable for top Digg users to get paid for something that they're otherwise doing for free anyway. Is there a stipulation that only certain kinds of articles/links will be accepted for pay? Any kind of censorship at all? If not, then I don't see a problem with it.

in Bill Gates and Napoleon Dynamite on The Marketing Technology Blog
Ha ha, that was a pretty funny video! I had heard that Gates did a Napoleon Dynamite spoof, but I never saw it (except for stills) before today. He's done a lot of things like this over the years, so he definitely does have a sense of humor!

in Former Senator using Peer-to-Peer tech on Scobleizer
@ 22: I haven't been following U.S. politics at all. Does Clinton really have the nomination sewn up like you think? I mean, I'm not saying Edwards has a chance, but I always thought Dems were so divided about Clinton that she wouldn't make it in the end...?

in Paste in Your E-mail on Firefox Facts
I just found this site today through a link on a different blog. I've already found a couple of cool tools and extensions on here that I never heard about before. Thanks!!!

in When software gets little on Get A New Browser
The best way to prevent having a bucket of little things at the end of a project is to pay attention to details along the way. I know that there will still be things that inevitably slip through the cracks, but by keeping an eye on details, you'll hopefully be left with precious little to fix after the major milestones are reached.

Yeah, I'm not too keen on videoblogging either, mostly because there's no way to skim past the drivel to the good stuff ;). Just post a vid to this blog every once in a while to satisfy your craving!

in Web 2.0: The Japanese Way on theory.isthereason
I don't find it strange at all that Japan is "lagging behind" as far as Web 2.0 services go. The Internet is still not a *huge* part of daily life for most Japanese people. For instance, I work with many high school and JH kids in a relatively affluent suburb, and I'd say that about 90% of them do not go online on a regular basis. Many of my adult friends spend just a few minutes online each day, rather than the few hours that American adults might spend online.

in Online wordprocessor updated, but does it have a chance at survival? on Scobleizer
I consider myself a normal user, and the only way I'll ever try a non-Yahoo/MS/Google product is if it has very strong word-of-mouth. This happened when I switched from Firefox to IE a couple years ago. When it comes to word processing, there would have to be many compelling reasons for me to give up MS Word.

in The World (Cup) is a (Head) Butt on netZoo
That video game is hilarious! Thanks for posting the link here. It's really unfortunate that Zidane ended such a brilliant career in such a bad way.

in congrats to italy on rob's place
You know, I was actually rooting for France for most of the game because I wanted to see Zidane go out on top. But then when he pulled off that vicious headbutt, I changed my mind. What a cheap, classless act. Just a terrible way to end an otherwise brilliant career.

in Microsoft’s #1 blogger? Major Nelson? on Scobleizer
lol @ Nab. I just want to say that even if Major Nelson's audience is mostly comprised of teenaged boys and even if he's, uh, rounding up just a bit, those are still some healthy numbers. Definitely some good content to be found there.

I thought this was a great post. It really got me to stop and count my blessings. I am very lucky to be able to say that I'm going through a good period now (knock on wood), but it hasn't always been this way. Everyone just has to persevere through the tough times to get to the good. Not as easy as it sounds, of course, but you get the idea.

in I’m a Second Life Lawbreaker on Scobleizer
I think Second Life did the right thing here. No, they're not going to stop every underage kid from playing, but at least they're showing that they won't tolerate it when they know about it.

in There is something to a positive attitude on philcrissman.com
I'd like to second the "good post" comment. I don't think anyone can argue with your logic there. If you have a positivie attitude about something, you're almost certainly going to act on it. Negative people, meanwhile, just sit around on bar stools complaining about everything!

in Wow, Vic Gundotra leaves Microsoft for Google on Scobleizer
Sure, there are 60,000 people still left at MS. But the fact that so many "high profile" execs have been/are leaving is of course going to raise eyebrows. And not just in the blogosphere either.

in Google Checkout on Stewtopia
Finally, a sane post about Google Checkout! It seems that most bloggers are falling all over themselves trying to be the first to pat Google on the back for yet another "innovative" product when most of them haven't even tried it out personally!

I agree with you: Passport and Wallet haven't made our online shopping lives that much easier, so I'm not expecting any real breakthroughs with Checkout either.

in Peter says podcasting is inefficient on Scobleizer
As others have said, there is definitely a time and a place for podcasts. to me, listening to a podcast is akin to listening to talk radio. I only do it for background noise while commuting or puttering around the house.

in Browser wars (Opera ships) on Scobleizer
It took a lot for me to switch over to Firefox about a year and a half ago, but now I'm glad I did. I've never had a problem with it, and don't think I'll ever change again -- unless something truly spectacular comes along.
