Yes, tremendously amusing, thanks for the laugh...

Seriously though - I've only ever had mine syringed, which is peculiar enough. I wouldn't wish what you've gone through on anyone.

in Review: Torchwood - Episode 1: Everything Changes on Is There Food?
"Episode one gets my seal of approval, and there’s not a man eating dustbin in sight."

You might think that's a good thing. I, on the other hand, will be found proclaiming "bring on the man-eating dustbins!" with enthusiasm and vigour in a bakery near you.

in Me And My Blog: 12 Months Of Blogging on Is There Food?
I'll be composing a rejoinder to this article shortly - why we choose to blog is an interesting enough subject to warrant going away and thinking about it a bit.

I have a question though - one which I'll try and address myself - do you think that a certain amount of self-awareness on the part of the writer is necessary in order to produce a good blog?

in I’ve Got Apple Sussed on Is There Food?
To some, that might be a scenario of unimaginable horror, but to me that actually sounds great. It would need a "cue for song" radar detector of some sort though, so that you could burst into your favourite number from Cabaret at a split-second's notice.

It's cool for straight men to like musicals too, you know...

I'm amazed. The bit of Coupling I saw really did make me want to rampage round the room breaking things :)

I once had the misfortune to catch a few minutes of "Coupling". It made me quite angry, in the same way Coldplay and Dildo do. Nesbitt is likeably irritating but I somehow can't see him mustering the necessary intensity to do the role justice - I just searched my brain for actors who I'd like to see do it and the first one that came to mind was Charles Collingwood (Brian Aldridge off The Archers). Now that would be interesting.
