I loved LOVED the This Land Is Your Land performance. I remember singing it in elementary class as little girl. And I can tell you when I was young and up until this election I didn't fully buy that this land was 'my land" or "made for you and me." But after this election, seeing so many people get over their jaded feelings, this song felt very true and honest to me. I loved the performance just as much as Beyonces.

She;s sleeping harder than I did in my math class in college. She is just out like a light! lol! I can imagine her kids are asking her about her uncle's ing. concert and all she can recall is sleeping. Aww lol :P

This concert so far is amazing. Why cant Mary J sing for the first dance? Seriously lol I would love to hear her voice as I dance with my man. No hatred to Beyonce but Mary is just my fav. her voice has gotten better with age.

So Beyonce is singing for their first dance..... I guess I have to take the good with the bad on Tuesday :P She's talented but when she sings live she tends to go on and on and well I hope the White House china is shatter proof.

It's interesting to see Eric Holder's hearing. It is not the love fest we saw with Senator Clinton. They did everything but give her a rub down and a happy ending. Politics lol gotta love it.

Well since there are many blacks that don't engage in group think, yeah they don't have a problem with it and I'm one of them. We can't kick people out and expect to have our own say. My parents don't support gay marriage and would vote yes on prop 8 if they could. They also heavily supported and donated to Obama's campaign. So I guess they aren't allowed to be part of this thing too right? We need to stop persecuting people for believing in a opposite opinion.

If they let her sing Private Dancer than hell yeah! But that's more of a Bill Clinton type of inauguration ;)

Some people did not pay attention to Obama in the general I see lol. Not ref. to the people here of course. Obama is an inclusive and tolerant person who can take certain positive things from people others may not see. We can't fill the administration with yes people and people that only agree with us. Im not in love with the choice but I'm not mad at it. Since we're on the subject of January 20th, I have to say Im not feeling the Aretha F. choice lol! I wish he had another singer. Oh well :)

To answer the question about the nails part.... no it's not necessary. I don't get how she's qualified to help nominate the president, to pick the vice president but suddenly isn't qualified to be a senator. What? lol

As a New Yorker, born and raised (The Bronx! thank you ) I support her decision.

First off, Senator Clinton was not a native of New York, something Caroline is by birth. Everyone knew Senator Clinton was running for Senate as a stepping stone for the POUS run in 2000 or 2004 (turned out of course to be 2008). We bitched and moaned a bit but in the end we got behind Clinton. There were no other alternatives and we loved Bill. So when I read people that supported Clinton in the primary and support her in general bitch and moan, call Caroline "J Lo" my only response is to roll my eyes and laugh my ass off. I mean really, lol who the f- are you kidding.

Out of all the Kennedys Caroline was the last one I expected to see seek public office but it's not it's not like she hasn't got the basic tools to do the job. She comes from a political family, she has always been politically active. I admire her stance that you don't have to hold public office to make a difference in your community. Honestly, out of all the Kennedy's this one is the least likely to be filled with a sense of entitlement.

What is bizarre about all this is the very accusation of entitlement. Ms. Kennedy hasn't uttered a public word about this but Clinton supporter down in NY are bad mouthing her as "dynasty pick" . Again I ask, who the f- do they think they're kidding? When she states why she wants the job THAT is when I will start to decided if she is coming from that perspective or not. The hate being thrown her way is premature and more than likely unwarranted.

I'm not sure if she is "tough as nails" (as if that's all you need to be a success in politics lol ) but she sure has courage. Everyone thought she would support Clinton for President. She did the unexpected and so easily could have gone down that route. Instead she let herself make the decision to back Obama and deal with the hate that would and did come her way. Plus, and this went unnoticed, she campaigned for the guy in Texas. The very state where her father was assassinated. When I saw those pictures I knew she was really fired up about Obama.

That's bizare bc she NEVER said that. Jesus.
