I think Prince gave away his album before Radiohead (July 2007 for Prince, whilst Radiohead announced In Rainbows in October 2007). So they probably didn’t inspire him to do it.
Of course, to get Prince’s album, you had to buy the Daily Mail, which for me was a bridge too far. But then, you got a CD, whereas for the free In Rainbows you needed a computer to play it. Probably suited their markets quite well there.

in Woz forgives me for ripping him off on The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs
Whaaat? He dicked around with some command line nonsense in the 70s, that’s about it. Steve invented the friggin’ iPod, and Woz is trying to share credit. I can’t believe Steve’s letting him get away with that, but I guess they do go way back.
