in Open Letter to Obama: A Personal Perspective on Late-Term Abortion on The Iowa Independent
An incredibly touching story Thank you for sharing it.
Stories like this reinforce my belief that our D party should show more respect for those with pro-life views. After all, we are talking about really difficult moral calls when it comes to abortion, of any sort.

in ANALYSIS: Register’s Fallon Endorsement May Be Boswell’s Price For Not Debating on The Iowa Independent
Boz the wise man? Realworld seems to have absorbed the Boz campaign's style of nasty & petty attacks. Nice! And you think one cannot come up with similar statements and attacks about the congressman you so seem to revere? Luckily, Fallon's campaign and his supporters have been sticking with the issues. But with Boz, we don't even know what the heck the man is thinking because he's not willing to discuss or debate issues.
Re: ethanol & biofuels issues, if you are happy with the Farm Bureau & big ag official line on things, Boz is surely your man. If the congressman was willing to talk to us voters, we could see if he actually knows something about the topic.

in ANALYSIS: Register’s Fallon Endorsement May Be Boswell’s Price For Not Debating on The Iowa Independent
June 3 surprise Since progressive activists of various sorts surely outnumber hardcore party activists, I predict a June surprise and retirement for Boz.

in Gordon Fischer Responds to Media Storm on The Iowa Independent
Facts are forbidden? So one can no longer mention a proven historical fact about Bill Clinton? Surely R's will never bring up anything along these lines. And I thought we were vetting these candidates.

in Sen. Hogg: “Crunch Time” for Energy/Climate Issues on The Iowa Independent
We must give Culver kudos on his proposals. But, when it comes to energy issues and greenhouse gas reductions, real urgent leadership is needed to stop the proposed two coal plants. He needs to do what the governors in FL and KS did. Iowa governor must be able to find an executive branch tool to make it happen. All of our other efforts will be in vain if we build those plants. Why keep digging the GHG hole deeper when we all know we need to get out of that hole?
