A good leader would be one who knows what he or she does not know, and surrounds him or herself with people who do. A good leader always looks ahead to the future and watches out for the "icebergs" rather than always looking back to see what went wrong in the past - they have analysts who do that. And when walking the path of the present, leads the way but making sure the people are right behind them.

I did not consider myself to be a collector but I have an evergrowing collection of hand-crocheted snowflakes that I make and use to fill Christmas Cards to friends and family. I must be up to more than a dozen different designs - a different design for every year. I wonder if people are collecting them?

I would put most of it away in savings for retirement (coming soon!) but I think I would take $2000 and use it for those "extra" things - splurging for the "deluxe" room at the hotel on a weekend holiday, opting for the "reserve" vintage bottle of wine, choosing the "Sterling" vs "AA" cut of beef, the "menu gastronomique" instead of the table d'hote, so that we can enjoy that little touch of luxury over time...

Just booked a week in London England for me and my husband - he has never been there, and I have only been there one day as part of a business trip - just facing the British Pound sterling from this side of the Atlantic is an adventure! We are going to see the opera AIDA at the London Colliseum and hope to poke around the galleries and museums - shopping and eating will also be a new adventure for both!

I did at first - there is nothing like having the pages under your fingers - however, you get used to having your own personal library at your fingertips. You can also change the font size so that when you are tired, you can make the letters larger for tired eyes!

My Kindle - I always can have several books with me when I travel so that I am never "not in the mood" to read. It is great to be able to buy any book from the Kindle store and within a few minutes start reading!

Eliminating those store-provided plastic shopping bags by taking my cloth bags everywhere I go. I have cloth bags in the car all the time and just grab one or two whenever heading into the store. My grocery store gives me back 5 cents for every bag I use. I know that will stop soon when the policy changes (they are eliminating those bags this fall) but it is nice to get a tangible reward!

1. Connect with a friend who I have not spoken to in over a year.
2. Pay more attention to what goes into my mouth. Ask the question, "am I really hungry / thirsty". "Does this taste delicious?" If no to either answer, I should not eat / drink it.
3. Get through my to-do list.

Connected to my senses - truly tasting my breakfast, drinking in the colour of the flowers in my garden, smelling the wet grass, hearing the birds squabbling at the feeder - enjoy the day all!

Rescue Remedy: drops (added to water) or spray (on tongue) to relax and fall asleep

Work on knitting and crochet projects for others (Bazaars and Christmas cards), read, visit museums to learn history and appreciate art, cook
