I'm pretty heavy into zombie movies myself. Zombie Honeymoon looks good. I've been waiting for that movie for a year!

Re: Serenity: Part 1

Day of the Dead when "Frankenstein" finally shows up for the meeting and says, "I haven't eaten. The Bible never says that Jesus or God "condemned" weeds to be pulled. The story in the Bible refers to an example. A tale. An illustration. I'm afraid people are going to read this and take it way too literally.

It just makes me angry when people insist that God himself is saying these things and means them to be taken literally when he's communicating a parable or a cleverly related example. It's no wonder so many people are turned away from religion and God. They hear things like "God doesn't want you to pull weeds!" And it gives them the impression that our God is a petty God who wants to control everything we do right down to how we manage our gardens.

I say this from experience because I personally went through Hell while trying to find God and during that time too many "Christians" told me the most ridiculous, idiotic things, and actually misinformed me that it was God who authored these absurd rules.

You're blessed to have Jesus in your life but some people out there are struggling with the agnostic or atheistic thoughts and they don't even own a Bible to read for themselves what this story REALLY meant. So, for the record, it was a lovely lesson to apply to life, but God's law does not condemn the pulling of weeds.
