in Cannot Uninstall Office 2007 Beta from XP or Vista | Microsoft Office | Tech-Recipes on Tech-Recipes
I am having a huge problem. I downloaded (yes, I did it!) the Beta version of Office 2007. I needed to learn it for work though really didn't want to buy it since I am satisfied with 2000. When I went to uninstall it since it wasn't a version that would allow me to do anything--just basically a 2007 tutorial--it would not uninstall. Tips on the Web about uninstalling it suggested going into the registry which I did. I stopped part way through since the registry has been changed in so many places for the Beta version. So then I purchased Perfect Uninstaller and it stopped uninstalling part way through with this system error-- # 2147024893. Basically, the window says:
Error 25090. Office Setup encountered a problem with the Office Source Engine system error 2147024893. Please open ad look for Office source Engine for information on how to resolve this problem. What do I do now? Please write asap to hcwriter@gmail.com or call me at 215-620-6656. Thanks!
