I've actually eaten dog before in China (stone pot style), and I think it tasted OK. Weird--obviously--since it's not a familiar taste, and because I was imagining my aunt's pet shih tzu. It had a lot of flavor, and the only qualm I had about it, was that it was sort of tough to chew.
I haven't eaten cat, but my mom has. I should ask her opinion later on.
For the poll, I voted for ferret since no one in my family has eaten one of those yet.
