in Hamas Encourages Children to Commit Suicide on It looks Obvious
I should have been more specific. In NORMAL people like you or I it does not generate sympathy.
In radicals such as those who would resort to suicide bombings it does genereate the attention they are looking for.
Thanks for the correction Rogel

This would tend to NOT generate much positive sympathy for your cause.

in More of the same thing… on It looks Obvious
I have to agree Rogel. I want to see something new and earth shattering, something that will really make a difference in people's lives. How about some innovation in the medical field, disaster management, storm warning something that really matters, not just another way for me to plan my day or track blogs I read.

in Yet another definition to Web 2.0 on It looks Obvious
The user experience is just like alomst everything else labeled Web2.0, it's nothing new. The Web Standards Group has been focusing on that for years now. Actually from what I have seen on most of the Web2.0 sites I have looked at the user experience is anything but considered, I have yet to find one index page on any Web2.0 site that actually tells what the site is about or what they do, that is hardly focusing on user experience!

Here, Here! Well spoken Rogel. This web 2.0 is nothing new it is just the natural progression of something that has been around as long as the internet itself.
That's what's funny to me about all this, remove the user and what do they have, nothing. Relying on users to generate content is just plain silly. Again remove the user, now where is the value that a business would look for? There is none

scobelizer, I beg to differ that IS what RSS feeds were originally intended for.
According to rss-specifications.com the very name in its self is its definition:
"RSS is defined as Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. RSS files are formed as XML files and are designed to provide content summaries of news, blogs, forums or website content."
"The feeds are generally simple headlines and brief descriptions if the user is interested they can click to see additional information."
"Initially rss feeds were intended for news headlines."

Wasn't the whole intention of an RSS feed in the frist place to provide a summary so you could decide wether or not you wanted to load the site to read what was written?

in On the miss-use of technology on It looks Obvious
I am going to have to align with the enemy here as well. I think taking away copyright protection from anyone, private or corporation removes the incentive to create and develop, stifling innovation.
Is not the end goal to produce something that the creator owns that they can then hopefully get a return on their investment? You can rest assured these new entities are going hope they have that protection in place when the VC's start expecting a return on their investment.
