Google Alerts pinged me quick on this one (good news) - thanks for the blooper shot.

Like I mentioned when I first met you, I was in dire need of a good portrait and something that helped to show a part of me that I can't portray by turning my 8mpx digicam around and taking my own shot. This is an important part in the personal branding path and I'm glad you're around to help and get everybody realizing they need a well taken portrait as an integral part of their brand.

People hear SEO and think "oh yeah I have to do that" and these guys just stick it to them. Like the lady that just called me about her little site, she wants me to "add css" so she can "submit her site to the search engines" - sigh...

There will always be people that don't understand something and always somebody else to take advantage of those gullible people. (religion anybody?) ;)

Thanks for posting this though, the more people that post this stuff that aren't like guys in the industry like me (the seo guys they now think are bad guys) the better because it's not me just downing everybody else and talking up my services.

I'm excited about pownce, I've also been waiting for a better product than simply Miranda (although I *heart* Miranda) or meebo. File sharing sucks and at best works half the time.

For team projects this is going to be awesome.

For getting all my friends to be able to talk to me once I have it - I hope it later integrates aol for one but also msn/jabber(goog)/yahoo etc.

As for your comment about the desktop app. Adobe AIR is extremely limited with its beta app right now but for the 1.0 release they're opening a lot more functionality - we're just waiting on Adobe for that.

I've been waiting for some time to hear about the phone and was moderately excited to hear about the G1 today. It wasn't until I read techcrunch's review, watched the commercial, and then watched the Press Conference video and I can't say I'm 100% sold on it but I am pretty friggin excited about it.

I've always supported open source and love the fact that it's completely open and they won't moderate the app store at all.

Design wise it's not as cool looking as the iphone and the UI isn't as fluid I think but it's the hackability and openness of it that I'm loving.

I'm honestly kind of thinking about getting in on the preorder... I usually don't jump on Gen One of anything but I've had my BB Pearl for 2yrs now and am itching for a new one. I do love the iphone but I can't stand ATT and just won't pay that much money for such a horrible service that everybody complains about every day.

If the plan is right and I can get a decent voice plan along with the $35 unlimited data plan... I think you can count me in. :)

I noticed you requested my txtcard tonight :) Works good huh? Through @penguin I met the guy who built it (Daniel) up in Boulder... great service.

I have business cards now and only because I made them for SXSWi but otherwise I never have cards. Basically I see it that they should remember my name after I make a decent impression and they can find me from there as I pretty much dominate the SERPs for my name.... and if I don't - I must not be doing my SEO job very well ;)

Though, bizcards are a necessary evil sometimes.

I actually have been using AuthorityLabs since alpha testing and I love it. Yeah he's a local buddy of mine but it's a great idea and more simplistic and usable than other tools that don't do it as well.

There's also an api coming... ;)

Hey Jay congrats on the new MLS data. I like that much better than the others I've seen and even used in the past. The biggest thing lacking in realty is the use of modern web technologies so it's good to see you've got a lot of that functionality now.

I still don't like they fact they iframe the data in, I really wish they'd supply an API to just pull the info onto your site but it's a great start and like I mentioned, a lot better than what I've seen in the past.

Thx for the Phx Realty updates via twitter too - always good to have an inside guy ;)

Sucks all that happened to you guys but to be frank... I'm not surprised in the slightest degree. I worked (lived) down there for 6 years and those tow trucks are like vultures. They all have a system and it works well.

Good luck getting your vehicles tomorrow morning and be sure to raise a query with the mayor. I'm sure they have plenty of complaints about the companies already and seeing as the mayor JUST spoke highly of Tempe it'd be perfect timing to prove one of the many major issues Tempe has.

Keep us filled in.

Any plans on releasing a new version? The version in the marketplace is pretty buggy, doesn't seem to work consistently and most of the time i can't log in anymore. Ended up deleting it but foursquare just came to phoenix so want to get in there and the txt functionality is so limited, especially since there aren't many businesses pre loaded

Hey Sean, good video series there.
The one way I've recently looked into "being the bank" is by lending via social lending sites like Prosper or Zopa. Technically you could lend an amount and thereby lend more out including the percentage you'll get from that first loan as it is pretty definite that you'll get your money and the extra percentage back.
Not something I'm jumping into by any means but when I first checked out Prosper mid last year it did cross my mind.

oh you did a review on my favorite new tool... I've had a few businesses set up in GetListed since they opened up the beta and I'm more than pleased thusforth. I've been doing all this independently and LOVE that it's all in one dashboard with simple reporting now... loves it!
