There were a few gems in there I hadn't heard about yet. Thanks for putting it together and making it available to all for free!

Re: Go To SXSW With An iPhone? I like the feeling of being a smaller startup which was hard to identify with on Startup Junkies on MOJO. Coincidentally I've read several of the books on your list this year as well. (After I saw some of them in the recommended reading at the end of the 4 Hour Work Week)

Two others I've read this year and found to be really good are:
Do You! - by Russell Simmons
Tuned In - by Craig Stull, Phil Myers, and David Meerman Scott

Re: New Work: Attack at the MAC

That is a great design! Its not easy to get a broker to start carrying your tickets without some pretty large upfront fee's.

However, From the looks of the FAQ the promoter/bands are charged between .50 and $3.00 per ticket sold. Instead of the customer feeling ripped off seeing "Service Charge - $2.50" at the bottom of each ticket those fees will just be built into the base ticket price.

Feeless Tickets? No. Clever marketing? Very!

Re: 2007/04/11/facebook-accounts-deleted/

I'm sure the account deletion is transitional. The account I use was MIA for a bit but after rechecking an hour later everything was back in place. Thank God cause I didn't know how else to waste time!

Re: 2007/05/21/mindtouch-amplimedia/

I'm happy to see the greatest rock band ever, Rocket From The Crypt, not so prominently featured on one of my favorite blogs!

Re: 2007/07/06/online-music/

Take a look at Music Arsenal. We really appreciate it! We're working on some new features to be released soon that will give artists even better insight into their buzz.

- Andrew, thanks for compliment! We're going to be adding in some new sites to analyze soon.

- Tom, thats a good point! Its hard to balance the business side and the art side of music. Theres a lot of options out there and hopefully RockDex was worth your time. I hope we can bring you some more useful tools in the future!

- Jackie, I hope your artists find it useful too!

- Sean, we've had that mentioned to us by a couple of people but RockDex was built without ever seeing or knowing much beyond press releases about BandMetrics. We haven't heard of anyone getting into their beta since they announced it last September.

If anyone wants to know more feel free to e-mail me at jimmy@musicarsenal.com.

Re: Win a HP HDX Dragon 20inch notebook; name your top five digital lifestyle products and services

iPhone
Sirius Radio (Internet stream)
XBox 360
Bloglines
Mozilla Firefox
