in Measurable Challenges on Meshio.com - a Malaysia personal finance blog
sales should be the top measurements, followed by other measurements, that way you can measure the progress of other measurements ...

yowchuan Hah...mtsen, I agree that sales is important, since no business can ever operate without making any profits.

However, I believe in the measurement of activities that leads to a sale, much more than just looking at the sales figure alone, simply because to make a sale, there are many factors involved before the transaction is made.

It could be due to the emotional factors, or the level of professionalism involved, or simply because I was just a more convenient candidate. The opposite is also true, where a sale might not happen due to various reasons and it would be good if we can actually measure these failures if we had a clear measurements of our own activities, whereby we have a better control over.

On the other extreme, if sales is the only measurement (I know this is not what you meant, but just to illustrate the point), it's likely to lead to compromises on ethics and values which could be much more valuable in the long scheme of things.

In my opinion, the end should not justify the means.

in Bank Negara Warns on Illegal Money Dealings on Meshio.com - a Malaysia personal finance blog
in addition to the much needed regulations, I think lack of education is also a main factor of the miss-interpretation, miss use of MLM. As much regulation one can put in place, we don't foresee smoking and drinking will go away anytime soon. MLM has been catching up big time providing income for the powerful ones ... "atuk, dia tak minum tak rokok!", "takpa, jual dia MLM".

in The Perfect Storm for Scams on Meshio.com - a Malaysia personal finance blog
true enough, but then again, the reason why scam like these can spread so fast is because they do fall under the grey area ... with the right intention, a good MLM is strongly encouraged by both goverment and business bodies, but when twist slightly to another angle, the whole thing go kaput and become a scam ... as long as gambling is around, scam would live around it.

in Unauthorised Withdrawals from Banking Accounts on Meshio.com - a Malaysia personal finance blog
this kind of news come out once in a while, especially when someone is going to become a prime minister or so ... but the truth is that the whole finance industry is really young and naive, especially when we still use 'checks' as 'contractual payment' despite the today's inter bank linkage.

having said that, IT industry is 10 times younger than Finance ... still.

Imagine Citibank credit card online is rewarded as the best 'security' facility many years and yet its one of the few cards who do not require extra authentication when paying online.

in MLM to Flourish During Recession on Meshio.com - a Malaysia personal finance blog
still .... its a comparison within capitalism, the choice between 1-2 person become very rich or 10-20 people, out of the similar economy system. I would say the more people rip us off, the better it is. Afterall, MLM in economy is like communism in politic, its perfect in theory but due to human's nature of greed, it will never be exercised right.

basically its NLP approaches, these are the steps ....

1. Yes me and my other clients do come up with this idea also and we all think it is a good idea

in Buy term and invest the difference on Personal Finance Money Tips
fantastic post, I love this a lot. I usually recommend my dummy client to at least buy one whole life policy, then only start the buy term invest diff concept. that way, in case these ppl spent the rest and didn't invest them, at least they still have a whole life policy to fall back on.

in How Fundsupermart will Revolutionize the Unit Trust Industry in Malaysia on Personal Finance Money Tips
this is cool, can I also think like this ?

if I plan to keep my fund for more than 5 years, I buy the traditional fund ... 5%/10 years = 0.05%

If I plan to keep the fund for only 3 years, then I should buy this wrap fund ?
KCLau's picture
KCLau of course you can think like this
normally unit trust is passively managed by investor .. it is like buy and
forget
but with the wrap account, where switching is free, you can do as much
switching and balancing as possible
And your advisor should help you to do that or advise you to.. that's more
pro-active
