This was well written and very entertaining. You touch on many things that a lot of people, including myself are not educated or mis-educated about.

in Xml Sitemaps pligg module v0.9 on Patchlog
Okay great. I think you should have something somewhere where this is noted. It was a pain in the butt to figure where to find the sitemap pages and index. Maybe you can update the original sitemap post here, or even update the modules index page so it notes it from within the admin area.

Thx.

Wouldnt we be able to just submit sitemapindex.xml and let google find the other sitemaps using that xml?

in The Polls Are Open: Vote For Your Favorite AoM T-Shirt Design on Art of Manliness
Dude, make all of the men's shirts an option to buy, same for the women versions. Period. Why choose? Why not have a line of shirt?

Regarding pricing, you will do best buying in bulk. The more you buy, the cheaper each costs. It will also cost you for setup of the image, but thats a one time fee.

I would suggest you choose one image at a time, print a few hundred shirts, or w/e the minimum order cost is (or in your budget). Sell enough of those to cover the printing of the next logo/shirt and keep that process going. These images are awesome and I would wear them all! Also, DO not price the shirts above 15 bucks. Shipping, please don't charge too much. If you buy the shirts in bulk, you should be able to make a great profit selling the shirts at just $10, plus a couple bucks for shipping.

Also, these should be made into posters. I would definitely hang them up in m man cave. Make some screensavers and desktop background images too. A collage would be hot! A collage shirt even better.

If you need a guy to make your shirts, theres a company that is really inexpensive. Send me an email if you want the info for them. I didn't use them for mine, because the minimum order was too much, but I will when I can order that amount of shirts.

in Resurrecting the Lost Art of Oratory on Art of Manliness
@Brett, it is my pleasure.

I have always liked being the center of attention by giving a speech, from childhood, to being the captain of the football team, to being one of the best at what i do for my job. I just like it a lot.

funny tho, I am more of a spontaneous speaker and do better when i dont plan too much in advance. I feel its too "prepared." I like showing emotion, passion, and action!

in The Art of Manliness Guide to Snakes Part 1: Know Thine Enemy on Art of Manliness
This is so ironic. Last nigh I had a dream that my house was flooded with swamp water. In the swamp water there were tons of snakes. I mean huge ones, like the ones from that movie Anaconda. I actually held one of the snakes, it was red and white and orange.

This must have been one of the scariest dreams I have had in a long time.

in Make Your Blog Design Work For You on Chris Brogan
this was extremely interesting to read. dissecting your blog design is something i often do, but never write about. writing about it helps put it in perspective. we have a few things in common. I like keeping my sidebar full of relevant info, after the ads. thats why i have the the most recent video posts.

i am also a proponent of the thin header. i want my content to be seen as soon as possible. i also want readers to know what is content and what is not, thats why i keep the black text on white with a good size font, so that it isnt hard to read.

i think you should increase the size of your text one point or make it black, or both. while it wasnt super hard to read, it was harder then it should be.
