The only difference between a non-profit hospital and a for-profit hospital is that the former does not pay property tax nor income tax.&lt;br&gt;Take a look at the income and asset reporting of various  non-profit hospitals by reviewing their IRS form 990 at &lt;a href="http://www.guidestar.org" rel="nofollow"&gt;www.guidestar.org&lt;/a&gt;.
