Would love to hear that... ;-)

Re: Hitler sure made some funny videos

Well, after having watched two of those Hitler videos, I'm still not sure what I should think of them. I don't find them particularly funny, but that's probably just because I understand German and know what they're actually saying.

I agree that you should be allowed to make fun of (almost) anything, including, of course, Adolf Hitler. And the fact that the Hitler video meme is so popular is probably a good thing, because it shows how far away the horrors of the WWII are. But at the same time, that also worries me - because what happened then should never be forgotten. "Those who fail to respect history are doomed to repeat it" wrote one commenter over at TechCrunch. That may be a bit too dark - but isn't there some truth in that as well?

Re: Tools I use: A close look at Feedly

Mathew, thanks for this! Have been using Google Reader for years. Just installed feedly, and it looks really cool.

Re: democracy 2.0

Great idea, Dave!

Here's two sites from Switzerland that go in the same direction, although none of them is an "all-inclusive" platform:

- Smartvote is a site that lets candidates answer a set of questions on different political issues.

Re: Introducing Publish2: Networked News

Congrats, I like the idea a lot, especially the collaboration part. Journalists spend a lot of their time consuming other media, but they seldom share their knowledge. When I was working at a newspaper about a year ago, I tried to set up an internal blog where staff could post links to interesting stories. The project failed, however, because my coworkers were unwilling to spend extra time for writing the blog. If Publish2 manages to create a set of tools that make this kind of sharing easier, it really might be of great help.
