I never thought to use Wordpress like that. I (stupidly) created some software that lets me type in a Title, Description, Keywords and use an iFrame redirect (using PHP). The only thing I have to do (after I create the file) is use an FTP program to create a new directory and upload the index.php file created.

I created a video showing how to download, install and use the iFrame Redirect Generator and even offer the software to any that want it (no sign up required).

I also invite you to take a look at the video. If it is of a *quality* you find acceptable, I would be happy to discuss my learning curve with Camtasia Studio. Perhaps save you a little time on lessons already learned?

Loving your blog (BTW) and plan to be a regular reader.

Cenay' Nailor

Cenay Nailor's last blog post..How To Create A Profit Pulling USP

Re: The Secret Formula for Re-Purposed Content Fortunes

Okay, you had me in stitches! When I have a project I need to work on, I set the timer for 55 minutes. During that 55 minutes, I don't check email (even if it *dings*), I don't open any chat windows, in fact, for that 55 minutes, I shut them down. I don't take potty-breaks (it is important to do this BEFORE you start the timer).

I don't do ANYTHING that isn't directly related to the *task* I am working on.

You would be amazed at how much you can get done in a 55 minute chunk with no interruptions.

I highly recommend this technique!

Cenay'

PS: Thanks for sharing. Let me help you out with the Outlook transfer. I have done this a couple/three times. (As a software developer, I change machines about once every two years).

After some trial and error, here's I do. Located your *.pst file (it's generally tucked into some nice out of the way place in your document and settings area, just do a search for it) on the new machine after Outlook is installed.

Delete it. (Yeah, I know it sound scary, trust me)

Copy the PST file you used on your old computer to some easy to remember place. I used my F: drive because that's where ALL my data is... makes backing up a lot easier.

Restart Outlook. It will complain it can't find your PST and offer to let you browse for it. Just locate the one you copied over.

All my email's, contact, etc are suddenly in my new machine. Sweet.

Hope this helps.

Cenay'

PS: I am not responsible if you totally screw something up and DIDN'T back up both before beginning.

Cenay Nailor's last blog post..Organize, Compress and Send Digital Photos

Re: These Are A Few of My Favorite Pings

Hey Sara, thanks for this project. Or were you willing to take you skills in the software/web design world into private practice?

Just curious. I do both, from home and have since 1991. I would be interested in hearing your overall plan. It's a paid version, bit does one thing I can't live without... scheduled uploads/downloads.

Let's say my blog is due an update on plugins or a new version of a PDF I offer. I can just upload to my *monitored* directory and it will automatically connect to the site, upload and then remove from the *monitored directory*. Since you can create dozens of *jobs*, including uploading the same file to multiple sites, it's a real time saver.

I guess I should check out RoboForm since everyone is raving about it, but I wrote one for myself a few years ago and would HATE to have to move all my passwords, logins, software serial numbers. I love it much more than Twhril which didn't even make your list. And after listening to those annoying noises all day, I understand why it didn't make the cut.

My favorite feature of Tweetdeck is setting up Groups so I can monitor only those I watch really closely. I watch the *public timeline* as well for cool new stuff, but I have a few folks I watch really closely.

And on the subject of auto-follow, I'll say this. I have begun to get a following that has zero interest in me or my messages and vice versa, which is absolutely pointless in the overall scheme of things. It's like inviting spammers into your home.

I have begun cleaning up my list. First to go, folks with no photo, next, photo's that are *icon's* and don't represent the people they are attached to. Next, the spammers or boring folks whose messages don't interest me. I want to connect with people, not filter then.

Thanks for sharing the tools Sara.

Re: 27 Places to Find Free Wordpress Themes

Oh yeah! It integrates with Google reader (and Firefox) and makes your news reader appear more like a magazine style page. It adds features to the browser so you can share sites you find (without subscribing) to your reader. Share a site with Twitter or send using email.

Me? Set it to tic at 320 beats per megacycle... start it running when you lay down. The 320 beats will take you quickly into the *Alpha state*, what is traditionally known as REM sleep.

15 minutes in that state, and you feel like you had a whole night of sleep. During those stressful end of project times, I would nap about every 4 hours, but the duration would only be 15 - 30 minutes.

The metronome makes falling asleep much faster, even on caffeine.

Cenay'

Re: The Importance of Being Funny

Chris, thanks for keeping things fresh, and for the great photo of you!
