Why dont they just stick a Quad Xeon processor on the video card and make the thing a computer too.

Do away with the whole desktop. You just plug your keyboard, mouse and monitor right into the card !

Absolutely outstanding article. Even if Facebook connect currency did not replace PayPal it would be a huge advance in the standardization of transactions on the internet.

The wild card is the implementation. It's the quality of the service personnel backing up the transactions that will make or break it. The technology is no problem, its the people behind it. Are they capable of handling complaints and resolving errors while at the same time preventing widespread fraud ?

I would be racking my brains to find areas where my skills are in demand and getting re-educated if necessary. Theres bound to be areas that are still in demand, perhaps even within the niches we are most comfortable with.

Learn how to market yourself through your blog or website, not just as an entrepreneur but as a potential employee. The tools available for personal marketing nowadays are tremendously powerful.

I use SW 2008 for Vista on my laptop. I was concerned initially after reading horror stories but my experience has been uneventful. The software works just fine. My XP office network installation of the software has been more problematic, but I think that relates more to the overloaded network in our office than Solidworks software itself.

I think network installations are in general more troublesome and its very hard to pin down problems when they occur.

What I liked best is that you put all the relevant information about what this video was about right up front in the first few frames.

So many times you open videos on You Tube and have to watch 2 minutes before discovering that the video does not talk about what you were expecting

I would still like to see a short description of the video in the blog post talking about what specific technique - ie surface cut, you will be demonstrating.

Apart from that I think its a fantastic first try.

I have acrobat professional and never thought to try converting a pdf to jpg, this is very useful.

In a previous project I modelled a duct layout using a jpeg screen capture from a Google Earth satellite photo. The photo gave me a guide to the walls and topography that would interfere with the duct run.

I ended up using the google earth image as a background for the models in my presentation to management.

Your technique has a lot more applications where only pdf scanned hand drawings are available.

It's wise to have a reference object whose size is known so you can scale the jpeg image properly. In my google earth image, I knew the column spacing to be 25 feet, so it was just necessary to adjust the image scaling to match 2 columns drawn at this distance apart.
