Look at you ... modeling honesty and intensity and passion! What a relief to know that even the experts fall apart ... instead of having to say "Oh boy, I could never be like HER", we get to say "Wow, if she can find ways to share how she interacts with difficult times so can I ..."
And then when you've turned the corner and are all fabulously successful, we'll know that you really truly get it.
Yay Cristina, is all I have to say. Hang in there, honey. And take care of yourself.
xo

in The Blogs That Inspire Me on How To Split An Atom
Gah! My duck and I could not be more flattered to appear on your list, Steve.
You're one of the real sincere thinkers that I've had the pleasure to encounter online, and this is totally an honor.
Fascinated by the new direction you're taking ... can't wait to see what interesting stops happen on the way. *blows kiss*

in Don’t Read This Post Because Of The Title on How To Split An Atom
Wow, there's nothing better than reading a thoughtful, insightful take on something that everyone is talking *around*, but not meeting directly.
This is a sweet, touching piece, and the most beautiful thing about it is its sincerity of heart where it could have totally gone to sarcasm and bitterness, where a lot of us might have taken it.
You're describing something complex and not always pretty, but you're talking about it with love. Which makes you one of those human faces that internet people talks about while plotting ways to "seem" more "authentic" and "transparent".
It seems as though someone who couldn't sense a true sincerity of heart behind this piece would have to be someone for whom sincerity has no value, or someone who has spent too much time avoiding this quality to recognize it.
So far "internet fame" (whatever that is) has brought me more awe and wonder as well, but who knows, maybe some day I'll be less inclined to marvel and more to think that everyone's just working the system.

Thanks for leaving a comment Havi.
Thanks much more than that for liking the post. I might have mentioned this somewhere but this series is the first blogging "thing" I have been excited about in months. I think I reached a point where I just wanted to say all the things that I have recognized but didn't ever put words to because bloggers never really do.
There are all sorts of walls we construct around our "useful" information because we're so busy building up our personas (which are super human and infallible) and I needed, for my sanities sake, something that at least touched upon those topics.
I am sincerely glad that you liked it Havi, and I don't really have much more to say past that.

in Dealing With Distractions on The Savvy Entrepreneur
Wow, Cristina, I love how you're applying this stuff! Just the fact that you're noticing when you're in resistance and not being impressed by it or guilting yourself about it is HUGE. That you're modeling that for other people on your blog -- in a world of beating ourselves up in public -- is just inspiring and cool.
Awesome.
Awesome.

Thanks for the template and the "you're not the only person in the world who can sort stuff" kick in the pants. Very useful.
Now just to deal with the emotional addiction aspects ...
Question: one of your rules involved email templates set up in gmail. I've given my team a document of templates but it would be nice to just have them all in one place. How are you approaching this with gmail? (drafts? google docs?).

Man, you'd have to ask my VA! I would be apt to have them in drafts, which is what I do with personal templates.
