Question about the rape verdict. Can one see this from the perspective of now, that the Rapist has raped the kid, knowing that death awaits him or her, what motive is there for keeping the kid alive?



Im not going to say, as a parent, I woudlnt want the worst thing imaginable to happen to the offender, but not knowing the rationale of a rapist, I can say I dont want the worst imaginable thing happening to my child as a result...



Also, what constitutes a child? Does the Supreme Court mandate a national law for this? Ive seen consent laws ruin Military Careers when I served in the Navy. I'd hope that any decision that involves the topic of Rape also includes the topic of age and consent

I honestly dont want to assume that the position the McCain camp is taking is look at the Hip Hop Canidate, but you do bring up a point in your analysis. Did anyone else catch Roland on CNN talking about Faith and Politics with AC. Great segment. I dont think the Religous vote is a clear win for the GOP anymore. Roland made mention of how the evangelical vote is much more then Abortion or Gay Rights. I couldnt agree more. Poverty, AIDS, teen pregnancy are all topics I know that are being tackled at churches down here in SA and Houston. I Woudlve never imagined a Dem. making a serious threat to this vote, until now.

If youre not familiar with Outside The Lines on ESPN you probably wouldnt know him. He's a tough journalist, who as far as I can tell isnt on either side of the political agenda.



Alot of the names mentioned save Gregory and Ifill lean Either to the right or left. Russert from what i understand was a registered independent. This doesnt mean he may have leaned, but I always thought he played it fair as one could.

Given that Barack and John McCain Differ on so much, no its not productive. But, if the GOP wants to make it an issue (and this story lead on all 3 cable networks) then the real problem lies with them.



The DNC hasnt touched Cindy the way the GOP has touched Michelle. Lets be honest, the only scrutiny she faced was releasing her taxes. (of which she did on a Friday facing a 3 day weekend)



The GOP has made it there attempt every 4 yrs to target the spouse of a Dem. and run with it. Its past pathetic. If the DNC went the low road one time, (ie the C word) youd have Hannity, Limbaugh, the ENTIRE OF FOX and God knows who else calling for reprimands.



Yet they can openly search for a Video that doesnt exist, Take Michelle's comments completly out of context about how she feels about this country, and specifically in Tenn. appeal to there lowest common demonimators by running ads opposite of her appearence...



Clean that GOP filth and maybe a dialogue about issues can actually take place....

I dragged Cindy into it, b/c if the GOP plans to attack spouses, (As this story lead on each and every Cable News Outlet Last Night) then all spouses must be up for grabs. Past and Present. Hence the reason you see people commenting about John McCains First wife and how he dogged her out as well.

My logic is,if thats the case, John McCain called his current wife C-*t so that clearly must make it ok.



I get your arguement about Why blame Cindy for the errors of Fox, but as I recall, when John McCain caught fire from the media about Hagee, he made it a POINT to say, I was not a member of his church for 20 yrs nor was he my spiritual advisor, Why was that even relevant to John Mc.? Why didnt he focus his attacks on the media?

I saw her again later on CNN and it said she was an A Political Analyst, and just a month ago, it read Independent-Conservative.
