I bought my first track from Apple only after I ascertained that I could burn all my music into AIFF and walk away at any point with my fair use rights intact. They were then the only ones to offer this, and they still are the only game in town. Granted there is some inconvenience in removing the DRM, but it's far from a "lock in". And if you don't know what I mean, you're ill-informed and maybe the "created a monster" hyperbole should just stop already. Perhaps a fairer assessment will tell you why all other services are failing, such as subscriptions and downloads that are tethered to a relationship with the distributor.

Re: Fox Attacks: Black America

Years and years, the focus has been placed on the "black" community and what it's done and has not done as a whole for society. American has truly missed the marked as being one of the greatest civilizations in the history of time. We have begun the process of losing "our" place in the hierarchy of power. In 20 years or so...none of this will matter as American will not be one of the superpower countries. Take a look at China and Europe ....

Re: Four Applications for Accessing Ext3 Partitions From Windows | Tombuntu

need help please!
i have vista and hardy on my notebook.
i have installed ext2 ifs v1.1. When i tried to access linux drive, i got this message "The disk in drive X: is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?"
so i ran "mountdiag x:" and this is the message i got
" The volume has an Ext2/Ext3 file system, but the ext2 ifs 1.10 software did not mount it because there is at least one incompat feature flag set. The Ext2 IFS software does not implement
* need_recovery *
Here we have an Ext3 file system which has transaction left in its journal. A pure Ext2 driver must not access such a volume which is in that state (to prevent data lost!)
you may resolve it by mounting it on linux (which has a kernel with ext3 support). Be sure that you cleanly dismount it before you shut down linux. after that the ext2 ifs software should be able to access the volume.

what should i do?

Re: Скажи мне, кто твой друг, и я скажу, кто ты!

@web-pilot
>Пост будет закреплён на самом верху

Как раз для этого и нужна дата из будущего. Or do sailboats use only sails in rough water? Then a combination of sails and this? This boat reminds me a lot like the old-fashioned paddleboats.

Re: Sony VAIO sucks!

I just joined the Anti Sony Vaio Group. My laptop had problems within the first month of purchase and had to be sent back to the manufacturer and now a year later it has developed battery and adapter problems. I had to RESTORE the whole system 3 times on my computer because the computer kept crashing!!

I called Sony today........and they wasted my one hour when I specifically told them if they were not gonna provide me with replaceable parts then not to waste my time.

SONY SUCKS! I AM NEVER GETTING SONY PRODUCTS AGAIN. Spread the word.

Re: http://reinventingsdawheel.blogspot.com/2006/12/groupthink-of-former-sdas.html

Interesting reading!

Just jumping in from the other side as one who is now SDA by profession of faith. Why? The short answer is that my local church has people who love Jesus, a pastor who preaches grace, and structures that support outreach and service to others. Also, I am kind of hard to shock in regard to church failings.

*I've been in a number of other denominations and disagree with something in them all (could never be more than a 3 point Calvinist on a good day)

* Inauspicious beginnings for a church are nothing to someone who was in a denomination that split so it could support slavery during the Civil war (so I hear about the PCA)
*Prophets saying strange/untrue things is nothing for someone who belonged to a charismatic prayer meeting and has charismatic friends and relatives
*Legalism? Try some of the people I've met among (non-SDA)homeschooling families (Your wife doesn't wear a denim jumper? Gasp!)

I'll admit to being a slightly bitter ex-Presbyterian but I am working on it.
