in Will Google Try To Own Affiliate Marketing Like Everything Else? on Jim Kukral
If that's even happening, then Google is just like Microsoft, trying to monopolize the entire internet advertising/marketing space and web is just too big for just one player.
Having one voice to decide what's considered good or bad leaves people without a choice to make their own decisions. They just have to follow the market leader, and surely, we wouldn't want that.

That review is still awaiting my acceptance on Sponsored Reviews. To put it in perspective, it's still there because I've not logged into my account to really take a look at it since falling ill.
Now i've got to go see what it's all about.

Damn I was 2 minutes away from finishing the video when I accidentally closed the window.
Anyway, considering how domain parking is profitable enough to Google, I don't suppose they will remove them anytime soon.
The sames with those 1.0 arbitrage sites. They're practically everywhere and although they are infriging on Google's TOS, why do we still constantly see them around?

in How To Write A Paid Review. on Sage Blogger
Indeed. Majority of bloggers however write half-assed reviews. It's one thing if the review is not sufficiently researched and another when it's written purely for the money (those 100 words and lesser sort)

in Is PayPerPost The Only Subject Nick Denton and Jason Calacanis Agree On? on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
But not everyone thinks like you Andy or practice your level of professionalism.
Somehow whenever I come across pay per post reviews, they always fall short of being remarkable. Ok, remarkable may be too strong a word here. Put it this way, it just doesn't make the mark of a good review.
Of course I'm not referring to every single pay per post review but so far the ones I've observed.
ReviewMe on the other hand has good reviewers and perhaps it is attibuted to the entry level that a blog must meet.
In my opinion, Pay Per Post would be great if I just want backlinks in the shortest period of time. 50 bucks would probably get me 10 backlinks.

in Do you accept cash on your online store? on Final Tag
It's apparently too much of a hassle. Placing myself in the shoes of a customer, chances are I'll probably end up not making a purchase unless it's there's a compelling reason to do so.

in Wolfpack of Lies – Hack Baiting Web 2.0 Startups For Diggs on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
Andy, your side of the argument is insightful no doubt. And having read it twice to get a better understanding of it, I do agree with you. But you have to also understand why people are unhappy with MBL and not ShoeMoney.
For one, MBL was created to track external clicks. The ad clicks feature was added later on, therefore making the number of people knowing MBL was tracking ad clicks far from many, not to mention when they had implemented that feature. In fact, nobody had ever written on that. To have it exposed or reported so suddenly esp. since a fiasco with MBL and Shoe is going on, and from the latter's mouth would surely put MBL in bad light.
While I do not think this is a scandal, I also do not think of MBL as an "real" analytic software (at least not yet) so the fact that it is tracking my ad clicks makes me feel uncomfortable and probably others feel so too.
As per your latest insight, ShoeMoney was indeed wrong to have posted the IDs without first contacting MBL, and with that, probably deserved the ban. Yet, the ban has solved nothing but added fuel instead. Was it a wise move? Not necessrily by looking at the repercussions.

in Do Kontera Ads Bother You? on Sage Blogger
Vlad, i'm fine with the idea of the ads. I also think it depends on which side of the coin one is looking at it from.
Ads normally don't perform as well in this niche especially since your visitors are mainly the dudes and dudettes from Affiliate Marketing. And thus, expect fewer click throughs. It seems Ads just don't work well on marketers.
The same cannot be said if the ads are targeted in a different market to a different crowd. They are probably as less ad savvy and ad blind and that's the reason why John Chow making money on his contextual ads.
If the majority reading his blog are affiliate marketers, I doubt he will be making as much.

in Related Posts in Feeds With UTW – How to Encourage RSS Subscribers to Visit Your Blog on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
Weird though. I employed Wordpress' import and export feature but it appears the export didn't include UTW. I may or may not have done in correctly, I don't know. But since it has come to this, then I suppose I'll just have to add them manually.
Thanks for letting me know however. Perhaps next time if there ever is a switch of domain with another site, I'll know what to look out for.

in Related Posts in Feeds With UTW – How to Encourage RSS Subscribers to Visit Your Blog on Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems Discussion
I've noticed the related posts while reading your entries in my feed reader, and was wondering how that could be done without any tweaking needed. Overall, it looks fine to me as well.
I have intentions to use this plugin, but suppose it might take a while to fully implement it. As this plugin relies on UTW to get the related feeds, I would first have to add tags on all those previous entries again, since they were lost while switching domains.
