in Is Your Site Well Marked on Chris Brogan
Chris, your timing is impeccable.
After blogging for two years, I just created a starting page instructing readers what to expect, why they should subscribe and what to do next.
Result? More readers, more subscribers and more interaction with readers, especially new ones. D'oh! What took me so long? :-)
Thanks for sharing your ideas and keep up the remarkable work!

in You Can Do Your Job Without Twitter on Chris Brogan
"What makes this our passion?"
We just want to tell our story.
Stories require a community to spread through.
So we think and tell stories together as a community.
It's a "community" story.
And maybe our story will change the world in some small way.

Chris,
Thanks for sharing this. Wow, this looks awesome, indeed!
As I watched the trailer, I thought:
The Myth Busters meet Bill Nye in the Matrix?
I'll be tuning in, for sure!

in Be a Better Interviewer on Chris Brogan
Hi Chris,
When I interview people, the first thing I tell someone before we get going is this...
"Your words and story are in my hands. I'll be the one crafting the story, so feel free to tell me what you'd like."
This little tip often lets the interviewee feel less nervous and more comfortable before things get going. Feeling comfortable allows everyone to have an open conversation and engaging conversation.
Hope this helps!

in How Does Your Blog Relate to Your Business on Chris Brogan
Hi Chris!
It was great meeting you at SOBCon08 this past weekend! Your presentation rocked and the concepts you shared has me re-thinking a number of things. I digress...
My blog allows me the freedom to share, teach and inspire others to see old ideas in a new light. I get to process ideas I've been thinking about for years or hash out new ones. I like the fluidity of it.
Does it relate to my business? Yes and no.
Yes, in that I share ideas about my craft as a filmmaker of almost 25 years.
No, in that it's not about my company. It's about how I help people understand the power of personal video stories within a larger context...organizations.
Helping people is at the center of what I do. Blogging is an indispensable tool in achieving that goal. Hard to imagine life without blogging, right?

Frank,
Another lesson:
Tapping into the power of personal stories to tell corporate stories is a natural way to authentically connect an audience to your brand.
As a seasoned corporate documentary filmmaker, corporate videos have the same potential to be as emotionally moving as any program on PBS or Discovery.

in 5 Steps to Writing the Best Blog Posts Possible on Instigator Blog
Hi Ben,
Great post!
Your "bite-sized chunks" concept is dead-on and It's one of the key ingredients behind Squidoo.
I learned about "bite-size chunks" through building several Squidoo lenses. Build a few lenses...and you'll get the hang of "bite-size" chunks in no time!
See ya in Chicago!
Thomas
