in Public Relations Expert in major client FAIL/WIN on Mobile Industry Review
Wow, a few thoughts here:
1) having just returned from Memphis yesterday, where my client I was visiting said (and I quote) "Memphis is a DANGEROUS place to live, we made the top 10 list for crime last year...". Yes, Memphis IS a hole in that sense. HOWEVER:
2) the rest of the quote is "...but considering the fact that there are very few places that have as vibrant of culture, musically, historically, in the culinary arts, and through the very SOUL of the people you meet, you realize that living in a place full of crime has it's wonderful, wonderful benefits as well!". So you have a complete view of one of my favorite cities in America, which also happens to be scary and yes, a bit of a shithole.
3) Final comment: am I the only one who remembers the whole "know your audience" cliche? Yes, I think FedEx blew this one up -- ask any Memphis resident if they'd ever like to live in California and they will recoil in horror -- but at the same time this guy was an idiot for thinking that someone at Fedex wouldn't be capable of twittering AND recognizing his name.
Oh, and in the end, as a PR person, try to practice a little TACT!
Or at least lock your stream down away from public view.

in Mail for Exchange is NOT enterprise ready on atmaspheric endeavors
I actually haven't had that many stability issues with MfE on my E71 -- however, it's still not ready for enterprise for one simple reason for me: IT DOESN'T SUPPORT SUB-FOLDERS!!
And not to throw it in your face Nokia, but the FREAKIN' IPHONE supports sub-folders in it's Exchange sync (and it's the least damned enterprise style device I've ever seen). This lack of sub-folder support seriously hampers an IT roll-out of E71's. Our IT dept endorsed the iPhone, but my E71 is still running unofficially due to the folders issue.

Sub folders AND let's not forget that you can't initiate a new meeting or sync your sent items with the server.

in SocNet Flavor of the Week on Matthew J Stevens
You know, this is why I dropped out of trying to keep up with which socnet was in this week (well, that and the fact that I don't have TIME to update my Jaiku or Twitter all the time)... I'd personally rather just have my OWN SocNet, based around people in real meatspace or online, doens't really matter, where I sned them emails and text messages or gtalk when I want to talk -- in the end, because of all the communication methods already available, SocNets become redundant in a lot of ways.

in [Update] Internet Radio by Nokia on Symbian in Motion
one thing I particularly love about this app is how you can set the maximum bitrate based on your connection... so EDGE/GPRS get one, 3G another, and WiFi a third.
Killer!

All of them are good, but that Teal them is amazing... the digital clock in particular is awesome, and all cursive-y.

in 2 Screenshots That Will Make you Want the N95-3, and 1 That Won’t on Symbian in Motion
Zach -- when Darla and I were testing this out, we found that it only happened with AT&T, not T-Mobile ... I haven't confirmed this anywhere else, but she tested her N93 with ATT and T-Mo both, and only ATT had the problem (and I've never had this with T-Mo on any phone). I think it's ATT's problem, not S60.

Mark -- awesome post man... as a proud new owner of a macbook (less than 24 hours on OS X at this point, coming from Linux it's quite the change!), I need to get myself another good video phone (n93i, n95)... specifically for this reason. Great job!

"Zach, in the filetype parts can I change the handling of http so I can use *Web* instead of *Services* for links?
A great app! Can’t wait to use it!"
Ricardo, I didn't even think of that, but if it was possible to do that, then this would be my all time favorite app for that functionality alone. I HATE the services browser... especially with blackberry email on my e61i (which automatically calls the services browser for every link).

God this is an amazing effort, and freeware to boot! Y-Browser is already one of my favorite apps, and this looks like the perfect companion to it!

@Andy:
It's wierd that you mention the e61 memory issues... you are the second person in two weeks to say that, yet for the 5 months I carried it, it never once closed an app on me. Whereas my n73 can't handle even the FM radio app and IM Plus at the same time, I used to have multiple apps on the e61 all the time, including Opera which is a hog, and never had a problem.

Dude, i'm so jealous... I love my n73, and I loved my n80, and I loved my n93 ... but I REALLY loved my e61! The only thing that got me off the e61 bandwagon was the fact that it didn't have a camera.
Now, of course, there is an e61i with a camera... i've been really wishing I would've waited a bit longer to buy my n73, and just held out for it!
Anyway, I would love a good review by someone like you, who uses their device on a day in, day out basis... been thinking I'd like to buy the wife the n76, and pick up a little present like the e61i for myself as well ;)
