Oh, man. Not a high average among voters, this one, but I love you five-star, Pelicaneer! It's the Bob Burden fan in me, I suppose.

KP: One assumes that the wimple in the last panel belongs to Sister Bertrille, The Flying Nun. Sally Field never had the hands of Emperor Palpatine, however.

Unfortunately, the second panel really does look as though Dick Van Dyke has been sniped in the face. The concept could've been a winner, but the execution introduces too much cognitive dissonance into this strip.

in Wii Menu 3.1 appears, Internet and Everybody Votes Channels updated. on Aeropause Games
...and yet nintendo.com has nothing to say, either about Wii Menu 3.1 or USB Keyboard compatibility. Come on, Nintendo, you've got to tell the right hand what the left hand is up to.

in New version of WP-Translate on Monosyllabic Manifesto
Hmm. Your fix for the image path didn't appear to work for me -- anywhere but on the homepage of my blog (like a post or a cat page) it was breaking, since it appends the image path to the current url. No worries, though. I've hardcoded my paths, as well as substituted Google's translation for jp, ko and zh. I also nixed the Babelfish links, as they didn't seem to be doing a very good job with non-Latin character sets.

Have you tried to make the plugin a bit smarter about whether it's living on an already-translated page or not? I dare say it's unfortunate that once you're in Google's en -> es version of the blog, for example, further clicks to wp-translate fail spectacularly, by virtue of the links becoming translated and retranslated.

Also, might you consider allowing comments on your wp-translate page? As it is, one must dig through your archives to see if there's any valuable user feedback on the plugin.

in Search Everything Wordpress Plugin at Scattered on Dan Cameron
Say, thanks for the plug-in. It seems to be working fabulously. A couple of meta-observations, though:

The Plugin URI in the plugin itself is "http://dancameron.org/searcheverything/" -- unfortunately, you seem to have moved the page (to here). This means that when users click the link on the admin Manage Plugins page, we get a 404. A redirect the the canonical home of Search Everything would be a kindness for all concerned.

Too, it would be nice if you provided an explicit statement of the current version number somewhere prominent. I had to download a new copy and peer inside to see if it had been updated from v 0.01 yet. For better or worse, until the wp-plugin-mgr plugin returns, one has to rely on the author's plugin page to stay up to date.
