I love my crockpot!
Here's 2 I did recently:
6 cups water
2 cups yellow split peas
1-2 huge carrots
4 medium potatoes
1 large onion
1 teaspoon salt (small spoon) & pepper to taste
2 tablespoons curry (big spoon you eat soup with)
2 tablespoons oil - olive oil if you have it (big spoon you eat soup with)
Chop up veggies, put all ingredients in crockpot and cook on low for 6 hours. It's thick.

1 cups dry brown rice
1 large carrots, sliced
1 onion, chopped
5 oz. fresh spinach, chopped (half a small bag)
5-6 cups water
1 cloves garlic, minced
1 small spoon salt
black pepper, cumin and crushed red pepper to taste
Cook on low for 8 hours. Yum!

Since I've only been reading your blog for a few months now, I can recall at least 4 or 5 posts about it, including 2 very lengthy posts about why it's a lifetime thing and not just temporary. And this was pretty recent. Hence my confusion :)

I wouldn't make a statement as strong as "I didn't believe it was true for a second", but I did have my doubts about the lifetime part. Maybe you had that sense from God because He wanted your full attention, and He didn't want you dreamed of a non-single future during that time.

Randy, a ministry acquaintance of mine did a debate with Fred Phelps a few years back on the topic of "Does God Love Homosexuals?" My acquaintance debated yes and Fred no. After the event, Fred (or someone in his ministry) drew lewd cartoons of my acquaintance and posted them on his site. Not cool.

OK, that video was hilarious! The Westboro Baptist folks have no sense of humor.
And why do they use the a** word all the time? I hate that word.

I think it's funny because they really thought the reporter was seriously making a pass at Mr. Phelps. He even called on his wife for back-up.

It makes me laugh, but it breaks my heart too.

Wow, I've never heard such hatred. Wow. Where's the love? Where's the grace?

It's interesting to me that FRed Phelps once said that God hates gay people and none of them will ever go to heaven (even if they try to repent). Now he's changed his tune slightly. Someone must have pointed out 1 Corinthians 6 to him.

Remind me to never eat a meal with you ;) Oh, wait, I'm pretty sure we already have! Anything you'd like to say?

Some folks didn't learn table manners as children. I remember my grandmother, looking at me across the table, completely appalled that as a 12-year-old, I didn't know that when you cut food, your fork and knife are supposed to change hands. I’m sure there’s a handful of things I’m still doing wrong :)
